🦋 Butterfly Release 🦋
Yesterday Pre-school took their butterflies to the garden to release them. The children have enjoyed this life cycle experience and activities they have taken part in.
Whilst the butterflies were being released the children were asking questions and waving them goodbye. 👋

This week in toddlers we have had a space themed week!
To end off this topic we have had a sensory tuff tray consisting of planets created with shaving foam, the children were encouraged to develop their scraping, rolling and stamping skills with the tools provided.
The children also enjoyed coping their carers by trying to say the names of the planets and their colours.

Today in preschool the children and carers spoke about our caterpillars as they have gone into their cocoons! We can’t wait to see them become beautiful butterflies so today the children created their own butterflies using different coloured paints and painted the leaves to turn into a beautiful butterfly.

This morning the children in Preschool have been busy showing off their creative skills! A carer set up a ‘Very Hungry Caterpillar’ painting activity, during this the children practiced their cutting skills, taking care to cut out their caterpillar face. Before gluing it down and creating closed shapes to create the caterpillars body. The children also added legs onto the caterpillars. During this we spoke about the different food the caterpillar ate in the boom as well as the life cycle of a caterpillar, the children had wonderful knowledge of this and was able to recite the book.
