The Nursery School

The Nursery School Welcome to the Nursery School, Charlton Kings. We are a small privately owned nursery school situated in the centre of Charlton Kings.

We are registered for children aged 2-5 years who have the opportunity to all play together but also do activities levelled at their own ability and interests. We have a spacious outside area which we use as much as possible for a variety of activities all year round.

We’ve had lots of fun exploring apples and celebrating the start of autumn!
The children have loved getting hands-on, discovering all about apples and enjoying some lovely autumnal activities along the way. It’s been a wonderful opportunity to talk about the changing season, colours and everything autumn has to offer.
We also enjoyed a lovely pre-school Harvest Festival service at St’ Mary’s Charlton Kings and would like to thank the church for arranging this for us and our parents for their generous donations to Cheltenham Food Bank.

What a lovely start back at nursery!
The children have really enjoyed settling back into their nursery routine, spending time building relationships with the adults around them and getting to know their new friends. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they’ve played, explored and had lots of fun together!

We are also grateful to have been gifted a fantastic potion station by .jc The children have absolutely loved exploring it, mixing, creating and using their imaginations to make all kinds of magical potions!

Here’s to lots more fun, friendships and adventures ahead!

This week we really enjoyed learning about construction. We mixed our own flour and water paste to glue blocks together, constructed different types of homes from around the world and made our own models from coloured blocks. We continued to follow the children’s interest of minibeasts this week. The children painted ladybirds, made bees from playdough, weaved yellow wool around pine cones to make a model of a bee and sounded out phonics from CVC words relating to minibeasts. Have a lovely weekend! 🐞
