A little reminder that I do an afternoon session on a Wednesday and Friday! These are always quieter and it would be great to have a few more join us 😀

If you haven't been to Little Stars before, you can just come along to any session that suits you. The first session in the day is usually the busiest, but it changes weekly and is lovely to see different families every week!

Looking forward to another lovely day here in Apperley..the skuttlebugs and playhouses are here for playtime too (as well as a fabulous park just next to the village hall).

It's great to be back and was lovely to see some of my leavers before they start school!

I'm back in Woodmancote Hall today for two sessions 9.30-10.30am and 11am-12pm. There are some changes happening at the hall but we have been assured that our future is safe so do not fear!! That said we are waiting on the green light that transition between management will go smoothly next week and will not affect any sessions... I will keep you informed, but all things going well, you won't notice..fingers crossed.

Anyway...we have sssssssnakes and lots of songs this week plus loads of cakes and back to biscuits for children I'm afraid, sorry kids!!

No need to book for Little Stars, just pop along any time you fancy. Its just £8 per family, all drinks and snacks included. Cash or card/contactless works too.

Very excited to get back to work this Bank Holiday Monday.. I even managed to work a bit of magic getting ready! (Probably the last time I try that! 😀)

I'll be running all of my regular sessions this week and older siblings are welcome to come along if they want to!!

Little Stars is a music group for families and childminders with children from 0 up! We do a bit of singing with lots of props, have a bit of a jingle on the instruments and then relax with a cuppa & cake and LOTS of toys!

There's no need to book and my sessions are just £8 per family (cash or card/contactless), with all your refreshments included.

I think you can maybe see from this photo that I'm very much in my happy place!!! How lucky I am that I go to work to do THIS!!

Thank you all so much for coming to Little Stars over the summer and to EVERYONE who has enjoyed a Little Stars session this last year. You make my job just the BEST and I'm so grateful for your support and to you and your little ones for wanting to come back for more..... singing and snacks!

I am having a summer baking break now but look forward to the new term starting on bank holiday Monday, August 31st in Woodmancote Village Hall.

Wishing you all a really great summer, stay cool and keep singing those songs! (don't forget, if you need them, I still have recordings from the covid days on my YouTube page!)

I had late notice of some improvements over at the W.I. Hall this week which means the car park is out of action unfortunately! I'm still running all three sessions though so do park along Bouncers Lane (keeping to the one sode so busses can get through), or Glebe Road just around the corner off Prestbury Road.

I have lots of yummy cake for children and adults and it's a other day of parachute fun!!!

In case you fancy designing a hedgehog for The Hedgehog Trail in Gotherington!

Have a read below and you can grab a template from me at Little Stars. You can return your designs to me too or pop them back to the shop in Gotherington by Aug 8th at the very latest!

School is OUT so it must be time to get our new Hedgehog designs IN!!!!

If you need something to do in the next couple of weeks, we would LOVE to get you designing a hedgehog for our 2026 Hedgehog Trail!! Open to children, adults or family/group entries!!

We have templates to download on our website https://www.gotheringtonoldchapel.org.uk/hedgehogtrail OR you can pop into One Stop Gotherington Stores to pick up a hard copy. Do grab a copy of the hints and tips as well to make sure you have all the information you need to get your designs returned in time.

This year's theme is 'ALL THINGS WILD' - this could include British wildlife; wild animals from anywhere in the World; the Wild Wild West or WiLd & wAcKy ..... HOWEVER you want to interpret the theme! If you have any other design ideas for your hedgehog, you can go with whatever you fancy of course, just make it bold and beautiful so it's easy to identify from a distance when on the Trail.

Remember we LOVE your fabulous hedgehog names too, especially a play on words - think Albert Einspine, Bruce Quillis.

Last year we had a bumper crop of new designs and managed to produce and hide 310 hedgehogs on the Trail, so we are looking for at least 200 NEW designs this year to keep you busy searching this Autumn.

If you enter a design that is chosen, we just ask that you sponsor the production costs which is £7 per hedgehog, and you get to keep your hedgehog when the Trail is over! We will be in touch early September to let you know which hedgehogs are going to be on the Trail and to collect sponsorship.

If you would like a copy of the template or the hints & tips emailed directly to you, just drop a message to [email protected].

Designs can be returned to One Stop Gotherington Stores any day of the week, or you can pop into The Old Chapel on Sunday August 2nd. We do need to receive the original hard copy of your design as they all need to be scanned to be printed onto composite aluminium. The fabulous Steve at SP Print Solutions Limited is in charge of bringing your designs to life again!

The very last day that we can take in designs is Saturday August 8th...but the earlier the better, thank you!!!!

Just a reminder I'm running all of my sessions for the next two weeks, apart from the last Friday (7th August) as the W.I. Hall floor is having a floor makeover!

Older siblings are always welcome, I love seeing them and they seem to still enjoy a sing song...and the cake!

Sessions are £8 per family (cash or card/contactless) which includes refreshments and for the hols I do have cakes for the children too.

The halls have generally been cooler than my home and I have fans that help on those extra warm days!

Do feel free to pop along whether you've been before or not, the more the merrier!!

So sorry, I thought I'd posted here not just on stories about being away!!

I'm not here this week as Im cooling off in Spain with Evie for post GCSE exam holiday!!

I hope you find somewhere to stay cool and I'll be back with the normal temperatures next week!!
