Working on our working memory! 🧠 💭
This game helps us understand how our visual working memory works. Just as we try to remember what someone was wearing, learners with dyslexia often need to hold information in their minds while reading, spelling or following instructions. It is useful to be aware that memory tasks can require a lot of extra effort for some learners.

What's really inside a heart? 🫀
Year 6 became budding scientists as they carefully dissected lambs hearts to explore the structure and function of one of the body's most important organs. They examined chambers, valves and blood vessels up close.
There were lots of 'wows', fascinating discoveries and some very brave scientists in the classroom today.

Different minds need different tools 🧠

Today marks the start of and we're exploring how every brain learns in its own unique way.

In assembly, Mrs Walker gave pupils a powerful demonstration of how easily our brains can become overloaded when juggling lots of information throughout the day.

Over the week ahead, we'll be discovering practical strategies to help us remember, focus and flourish, because learning isn't one-size-fits-all.

This week we celebrated Harvest Festival. Alice Monaghan, Dean Close Chaplain, came to deliver our Assembly and we celebrated how our donations will help Cheltenham Food Bank greatly. Mr Sawyer led the Pre-Prep and Prep in song. Year 6 will enjoy delivering the items to the food bank in person next week.
