Be sure to follow advice from UKHSA and other official bodies to remain in the shade where possible, drink lots of water, apply sunscreen regularly, and avoid unnecessary time in the sun, especially between 11am - 3pm when UV is the highest.

We're proud to announce the launch the Golden Valley Tech Futures Scholarship, helping talented students break into cyber security and digital careers π»
A new initiative designed to help talented students access higher education and build careers in cyber security and digital technology π‘
π Scholarships will be awarded to students joining our BSc Computer Science and BSc Cyber Security programmes in September 2026 worth Β£1,500, helping to reduce financial barriers and ensure that talent is not limited by circumstance.
As Golden Valley continues to grow, developing a diverse and sustainable pipeline of skilled graduates is essential and this scholarship programme forms part of our wider commitment to supporting future talent and strengthening the region's technology ecosystem π

Second year Bioscience students spent two weeks at the Mankwe Wildlife Reserve getting hands-on experience across the reserve including:

π Behavioural studies
π± Grass surveys
π Reserve management
Students from Zoology, Wildlife Conservation, Ecology and Environmental Science and Biology courses also had the chance to go on game drives and bush walks taking every opportunity to observe the wildlife at home there πΏ
