What a fun packed week back at playgroup. βΊοΈ
We have had sand with pirates , we had our very own gold coin treasure hunt, we practised positional language whilst we were on our treasure hunt following clues on our map. π°
We made bugs with playdough using a range of arts and craft materials to make, eyes, mouth, and antennas. ππ
Thereβs nothing like β a Reddings playgroup holidayβ we made our very own aircraft. We had pilots and air crew, luggage transporters. We followed the interests of some of our children who have been abroad during half term. We have loved hearing all about your adventures. βοΈ
We have had butterflies our cocoons hatched and turned into butterflies, we feel the children visually learning about the life cycle of a butterfly has helped them to understand the process in what happens during their life cycle. ππ¦
Have a lovely weekend βΊοΈ

Would you like to help out on our committee? We currently have spaces and whilst welcoming parents of children who attend playgroup, we also have some spaces for local community members who would like to help support us. Please get in touch if you would like to know more!

We have had numbers hidden around playgroup, in the sand, water, behind the plants. We wrote numbers on the chalk boards the children went on number hunts to find the matching numbers. What a fun way to engage children in number recognition! βΊοΈ
We have had a bug hotel and our real caterpillars have arrived, we are so excited for the children to watch and learn the life cycle of a butterfly π¦

Welcome back to playgroup everyone, we have been settling children back in playgroup after our Easter break.
This week we have been reading the hungry caterpillar story. Pre schoolers have been practicing their number recognition and using fingers in paint to practice counting creating caterpillars bodies.
We have been using our fine motor skills with mark making and using tap tap boards to encourage carefully placing the nails into cork boards and tapping the little wooden pictures onto the boards.
We have had lots of outdoor play with water trays washing cars, following the childrens interests and scooping sand with spoons to make their chosen outcomes providing opportunities for imaginative play. We have had sand cakes, porridge sand and pasta sand.
What a fun week back everyone!
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
