Class 11 had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon learning about filtration.
The challenge was to make a ‘survival’ filter kit that would be able to remove sand, gravel, twigs, leaves, mud and other debris from our dirty water. The children could only use 2 paper towels and anything else they could find from out in our field area.

All the dirty water was filtered really well with some of the water becoming almost clear.

We thought it would be unwise to taste the water at the end even though it looked clean(ish).

A fabulous, hands-on and practical science investigation which was enjoyed by all.

The Sunflowers were hard at work today, moving wood, twigs and leaves. They also watered all the plants and filled up the pond. And of course, finished off with guinea pig cuddles! ❤️🌻

Class 7 and Class 8 had a wonderful afternoon practising our multi skills with the focus of catching. We played mini group catching games and then played catch rounders in our houses.
