✨Come and join us NEXT WEEK for our toddler and pre-school forest play✨

Drop in sessions have now opened up as Thursdays are sadly not seeming to be as popular as our wonderful Friday sessions that were often sold out (where did everyone go?! 😢😔👀)

We would LOVE a few more children to join us next week in the great outdoors ~ water and sensory play 💧 hammocks and dens ⛺️snacks and campfires 🍪 loose parts play 🛞 scavenger hunts 🦋 singing 🎵 stories 📖 woodland crafts 🎨 and so much more for you little ones to enjoy ☺️

👋 Hi I’m Hannah 👋

Thank you for following- it has been ages since I posted about me because I don’t like sharing my face so much, but I’ve learnt a lot about social media recently, so here’s my story 📖 👇

🌈 This little boy is my rainbow baby 🌈 He is now my curious, deep- thinking, and sensitive seven year old with a desire to always be on the go with his own projects and ideas (never mine, ever 🙃)

🌿 At 1 we went to our first Forest School in London together. We had just moved back from Bangkok where he was born 🇹🇭

🌿 At 20 months he became a big brother and we were living the (covid) days and moved to Cheltenham 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

🌿 At 3, I went back to full time teaching and left a year later. I am so glad I did this because I would never have set this up! 💪

🌿 At 4, I did my Forest School Level 3 training with a busy 2 year old and even busier 4 year old, while supply teaching 😎 It had always been my dream to do this, so I seized the moment (and did get scared along the way!)

🌿 By 4 and half years old, Acorn Play was born 🎉 , and he got to play in the woods all the time, alongside his little sister, who later became my regular at the weekly pre school/toddler sessions 🫶

🌿 They are now both at school, and sometimes I feel a little lost without them in the woods. They will join the sessions in the Summer holidays, which I am very excited about 😃 In between Forest School I teach part time, and tutor. It’s very busy over here! 🐝🐝🐝

💚 I set up Acorn Play for them 💚 They are my inspiration, always, and they absolutely thrive in the fresh air, as do I… It is so good for all of our souls 🧘‍♀️

I feel so proud of have set this up from a small dream that motherhood helped to become a reality 🦄

Open to ages 5+ | £24 per child | Sibling discount 🐻🐻

Includes a campfire snack 🔥 | Two qualified Primary + FS trained teachers 🧑‍🏫 | Small ratios 💚 | Three hours of outdoorsy fun and adventure 🍄

Parents are encouraged to drop off at 9:30am and let them PLAY! 🙏

☝️🌱 Forest School - Summer Q and A ☝️🌱

💚 We PLAY - and this looks different for every child, every age and stage. Three hours goes quickly! 🕰️

💚 Yes we set up activities and offer open-ended possibilities as much as possible, but Forest School is all about child-led learning, organic ideas and enquiries, and letting children explore in their own time 🐻

🤫 We always light a campfire, cook a yummy snack, and offer bushcraft-style tool work 🤫

💚For our drop off Adventure + sessions it is a ratio of 1:9 (18 children in total, two qualified - and experienced - Primary teachers 🧑‍🏫 👩‍🏫 and recently trained in Forest School Level 3 😎🌻🌳🍄🦋)

💚 Wild toileting promoted 🌿 offering privacy and dignity at all times. This adds to the adventure! 🥾 🎒

‼️ 🙏Finally, our Summer ADVENTURE + sessions will go live this Friday🙏 ‼️ These are DROP offs from 9:30-1pm for ages 5-11 😃

⛺️🧡 Did we run not one but TWO fantastic woodland crafty sessions inside a tipi in 32 degrees? 🧡⛺️

⭐️⭐️⭐️Yes we did! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

We are Hannah and Kate (sisters in law)~ but also your rather crafty, creative and collaborative team 🦄🦄 Often seen outdoors, in art studios, in schools, but sometimes seen here at bringing nature and STEAM to you 🙏🌱

Well it’s honestly the best place to be ❤️ We have shade 😎 water play 🐟snacks and organic milk (BYOC)🥛 and loads of activities that help children to be in charge of their own learning, while nurturing curiosity and a love for nature!
