🌞🌙 Our little solar eclipse explorers! 🌙🌞

Today our Preschool children have been learning all about solar eclipses! 🚀✨

We talked about the Sun, the Earth and the Moon and how the Moon can move in front of the Sun and make a big shadow! 🌍🌙☀️

Our practitioner made her own little eclipse using a torch and some paper, and the children loved watching what happened! 🔦🌑

We also talked about our very important sun safety rule, we should never look straight at the Sun, as it can hurt our eyes. 👀☀️

It is now all set up in our garden and looks absolutely perfect! We can't wait to see all of the children enjoying it, creating their own little adventures and making lots of lovely memories. 🏠

We are so grateful for such a thoughtful and generous gift, and it will be a very special reminder of our Preschool leavers for years to come. Thank you so much from all of us at Elephant Moon! 🌙

🎨🪞 Every child is an artist... 🪞🎨

Today, our preschool children had lots of fun exploring shapes and creativity! 💜

Our practitioner created an example face using different shapes, before the children looked carefully at themselves in mirrors and had a go at creating their own unique faces. 😊🔺🟡🟦

It was wonderful to see the children talking about their facial features, recognising different shapes and expressing their creativity in so many different ways. Every face was completely unique !✨

We finished the activity by looking at the famous artist Pablo Picasso and his quote, "Every child is an artist." 🎨

🦎🐍 What an amazing day at Elephant Moon! 🐌🕷️

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming ZooLab into nursery for a very exciting animal encounter. They linked to the story of 'Dear Zoo' 💜

The children were so excited to meet a giant African snail, a tarantula, a frog, a snake and even a cockroach! 🐌🕷️🐸🐍

It was wonderful to see so many of the children being so brave. Lots of them enjoyed stroking the animals, and some even had the opportunity to hold them! It was a fantastic hands-on experience that encouraged curiosity, confidence and lots of interesting conversations. It was brilliant!

A huge thank you to ZooLab for such an engaging and memorable session. The children absolutely loved every minute of it, and we know they'll be talking about today's adventure for a long time! ☺

🎓✨On Friday we had our Pre-school Graduation celebrations! ✨🎓

What a truly special afternoon it was! Filled with proud moments, smiles, laughter and a few happy tears. ✨

We are so incredibly proud of every single one of our children. Watching them grow in confidence, make friendships, learn new skills and get ready for school has been an absolute privilege. Also a huge thank you to all of our amazing families for celebrating with us, and for your incredibly thoughtful gifts and kind words. ☺🥰

To our wonderful Class of 2026... good luck on your next adventure. We know you're going to do amazing things, and we'll miss you all! 💜

⚽️ We had such a lovely afternoon yesterday! ⚽️

A huge thank you to Little Kickers for coming into Elephant Moon and delivering a fantastic football session for our Toddler and Preschool children. 💜

The children had so much fun taking part in all the different games and activities, and it was lovely to see them all joining in with such big smiles on their faces! They loved practicing their football skills, listening carefully to instructions! Well done all!🌟

As part of all the excitement around the World Cup, it was the perfect opportunity to bring a little football fun into nursery too! ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

🐚🌊 Under the sea fun! 🌊🐚

So far this week we have been exploring an exciting Under the Sea theme 🐙🦀🐟🐚

The children have enjoyed investigating coloured water trays filled with sea animals, using magnifying glasses to take a closer look at the different creatures and their features 🔍🐠🌊
