🌕🥮 Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival! 🥮🌕

A huge thank you to one of our wonderful parents for sharing a little bit of their culture and helping our Toddlers learn about the Mid-Autumn Festival. ❤️

The children enjoyed a special circle time where they listened to a traditional story and learnt about this beautiful celebration and some of the traditions associated with it. The story is called 'Moon Festival Wishes'

We also had some very exciting mooncakes to take home and try, as well as some beautiful lanterns! 🌕🥮 The children were fascinated to learn about this festival. It has been so fun celebrating and learning about the different cultures and traditions. It has given the children such lovely opportunities to learn about the world around them and appreciate the traditions that are important to their friends and families. 🌎

A huge thank you to all of the parents who joined us at nursery last night for our Paediatric First Aid course. 🩹👶🏼

It was fantastic to see so many of you giving up your evening to learn valuable first aid skills and build your confidence in knowing what to do should an emergency ever arise.

We also want to say a massive thank you to Mini First Aid for coming along and delivering such a brilliant, informative and engaging course! Thank you, everyone! 😄

We’re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Early Years professional to join our friendly team at Elephant Moon Day Nursery in Cheltenham. We have an exciting opportunity for a Preschool Room Lead/Deputy Manager to join us on a full-time basis. We’re looking for someone who is qualified to Level 3 or above, has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development, and is ready to take the next step in their career. Previous leadership experience would be lovely, but we’re also keen to hear from ambitious practitioners who are ready to step up and develop their skills.

Our preschool children have been getting creative with some lovely autumn inspired painting! 🌽❤️

We used pomegranates and sweetcorn as our painting tools to explore different patterns, shapes and textures. The children loved experimenting with how the different foods made their own unique marks on the paper✨

We also talked about harvest time and the changes we see around us during autumn, including the different foods that are grown and collected at this time of year!🍎🍂🌾

What a lovely way to explore autumn whilst getting creative! 🍁

🧪A Magical Morning of Potion Making! 🧚‍♀️✨

We had endless fun in the garden today! 💜

The children were busy making their very own magical potions using lots of different coloured water, leaves, sticks and lovely scents such as vanilla and cinnamon. 🌿🫧

We also had a special unicorn washing station 🦄🧼 where the children enjoyed brushing the unicorns' hair and giving them a lovely wash with sponges. The children were so engaged and spent ages exploring, concentrating and sharing their ideas with one another ☺

Lots of imagination, sensory exploration, creativity and endless fun! 🐘🌙🧚‍♀️

🌞🌙 Our little solar eclipse explorers! 🌙🌞

Today our Preschool children have been learning all about solar eclipses! 🚀✨

We talked about the Sun, the Earth and the Moon and how the Moon can move in front of the Sun and make a big shadow! 🌍🌙☀️

Our practitioner made her own little eclipse using a torch and some paper, and the children loved watching what happened! 🔦🌑

We also talked about our very important sun safety rule, we should never look straight at the Sun, as it can hurt our eyes. 👀☀️

💜 A very special thank you! 💜

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful Preschool leaver parents who very kindly gifted Elephant Moon this beautiful playhouse! 🥰

It is now all set up in our garden and looks absolutely perfect! We can't wait to see all of the children enjoying it, creating their own little adventures and making lots of lovely memories. 🏠

We are so grateful for such a thoughtful and generous gift, and it will be a very special reminder of our Preschool leavers for years to come. Thank you so much from all of us at Elephant Moon! 🌙
