Inclusive Saturday morning music academy for ages 4-10 years. We make music & friends. Cheltenham’s music academy is passionate about music education.

Instrumental lessons, small group lessons, collaborative projects, intergenerational music projects, composing, performances, exam support, choir, and theory made fun. We think that music should be taught by those that can sing, play instruments and have an understanding of how music works and how your children can grasp that pleasure- including the theory of music, whilst having a fabulous time.

A moment that changed me: ‘I threw away the sheet music and all the colour and passion I had for the harp came back to me’ I fell madly in love with the instrument as a child, but my dyslexic brain fought with the way it was taught. For years I struggled - until some advice from my dad set me free

I’m so excited by this!
Level 3 hold UCAS points!

I have a disability and a learning disability. This doesn’t make you incapable, it does mean that I’ve needed the right support in place to study.

It has meant that my learning at a higher level has mainly taken place as an adult. No one expected much of me at school.

Music has always been rather exclusive. It’s either you go far and get your grades, earn a living from music in some form or you can participate for fun.

These new awards and musical certificates are a joy to see. It should make us pause and reevaluate our expectations.

With the right support in place and even just the opportunity, every child can reach their potential musically and be rewarded for their achievements.
