We are incredibly proud of how well our children have settled into their new routines and surroundings in Nursery. From making new friends and exploring their environment to joining in with activities and becoming more confident each day, it has been lovely to see their personalities shine through.

September has been a month of building relationships, developing independence and discovering all that Nursery has to offer. We are so excited to see all the learning, friendships and adventures that the rest of the year will bring!

📢 Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) will be visiting Gloucestershire to jointly review arrangements for our Local Offer.

The purpose of this review is to understand:
• How local area partnerships understand the needs of children and young people with SEND in their area.
• How local area partnerships provide strategic oversight and deliver the services outlined in the local offer.
• How parents, carers, children and young people are involved in developing the local offer.
• The experiences of children and young people with SEND and their families when accessing services in their local area.

As part of the review process, Ofsted and CQC have developed three surveys to gather feedback from children and young people, parents and carers, and practitioners.

The surveys are open until Wednesday 16 September 2026 and provide an opportunity to share your experiences and help inform the review.

🌟 What a fantastic time our Lynxes have been having! 🌟

The children have been absolutely amazing, enjoying a wide range of activities both inside the classroom and outdoors. 🧩🎨🌳

We’ve been so proud to see them working hard, playing happily with friends, making new friendships and showing wonderful teamwork. ❤️

Lunchtimes have been a great success too, with the children enjoying their lunches and demonstrating brilliant manners and independence. 🍎🥪

📚✨ Welcome Back to School! ✨📚

We are so excited to welcome all of our children and families back tomorrow morning!

Over the summer, there have been lots of improvements around the school, including:

🎨 Freshly painted classrooms
🚪 New doors and windows
🌿 A fantastic new outdoor learning area
🏫 Refurbishments to the outside of Year 1
🔐 New lockers for Years 4, 5 and 6

Our classrooms are ready, resources are in place, and we can't wait to see the children enjoying their new learning environments.

⚠️ A reminder to parents and carers: Please do not send children with backpacks.

🚧 As building work has recently been completed, there may still be some leftover building materials and debris on the front lawn. Please take extra care and supervise your children closely when arriving and leaving school to help prevent any accidents.

😊 We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at 8:35am for the start of another fantastic school year!

Gazelle Class had the fantastic opportunity to welcome several volunteers from Spirax for an inspiring STEM-filled day. The children explored the engineering behind different paper plane designs, creating and refining their models to improve performance and quality.

They also stepped into the world of business and innovation, investigating product design, branding and advertising before creating their own unique plane brands. The excitement reached new heights when our volunteers helped launch the children's creations across the playground using pneumatic pressure!

It was a wonderful day of creativity, teamwork and hands-on learning, and we are incredibly grateful to the Spirax volunteers for sharing their expertise and enthusiasm with us. Opportunities like these help inspire the next generation of engineers, designers and innovators. 🚀✈️🔬

Paddington Bear has decided to take a break from his famous marmalade sandwiches, so our Eagles and Leopards classes stepped up to the challenge of creating some brand-new sandwich combinations for him to try!

The Eagles children came up with some wonderfully imaginative ideas, including some very unusual creations like jam and cucumber! They then enjoyed tasting their sandwiches alongside Paddington before he heads back to Peru.

Afterwards, everyone became food critics, reviewing their sandwiches by explaining what they liked and disliked about their creations. It was a fantastic activity that encouraged creativity, speaking and listening, and descriptive language—all while having lots of fun!
