Pre-Prep and Lower School Summer Concerts 🎻πŸͺ˜

Our Summer Concerts celebrated the musical achievements of pupils across the Prep School. Year 1 and Year 2 pupils delighted parents with confident performances on a variety of instruments, with many taking to the stage for the very first time. The Lower School Concert opened with an energetic Year 4 percussion performance before Years 3 and 4 showcased their talents through a wonderful programme of singing and instrumental pieces. Congratulations to all pupils for their enthusiasm, hard work and fantastic performances.

On Monday, Year 8 enjoyed a brilliant Back to the Wilderness day, spending time outdoors and taking on a range of exciting challenges. 🏹

From axe throwing and archery to catapult building, fire lighting and trebuchet construction, pupils worked together, learnt new skills and threw themselves into every activity with enthusiasm.

The IAPS National Swim Finals saw our swimmers deliver a series of outstanding performances against the best schools in the country. πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸ…

Jacob finished in 1st place and was crowned National Champion in the Under 10 Backstroke with a new personal best. Aden finished an impressive 6th in the country in the Under 13 Front Crawl. Arthur achieved a personal best and finished 14th nationally in the Under 10 Breaststroke, and the U13 Boys Freestyle Relay team climbed from 17th at regionals to 6th in the country, missing out on a bronze medal by just 0.7 seconds. The U12 Girls Freestyle Relay and Medley Relay teams both recorded new personal bests, finishing 13th and 19th nationally respectively. A special mention also goes to Michael, who qualified for the national finals, but was unfortunately unable to swim on the day due to illness after all his hard work and preparation.

We are incredibly proud of every swimmer and all they have achieved this year.

Kites took to the skies last week as pupils tested the designs they had created in DT. πŸͺπŸŒ€οΈ

After plenty of hard work on their creations, it was fantastic to see them take flight across the field and discover how well they performed in the wind.
