"What you can do, if you put your mind to it, remains amazing." ✈️

Alumna Belinda Swain tells us how her love for physics led her to a career in engineering, and after graduating from Oxford University, she found an opportunity to work at Rolls-Royce, a move that changed her career path forever.

She stayed at Rolls-Royce until she retired, and during her time there, she travelled internationally, worked on the Typhoon fighter aircraft, led a team designing, testing and certifying engines, and played a major role in the UK, European and US aerospace safety industry.

Last week, more than 500 of our students gathered in the Princess Hall for House Music 2026 – an evening that celebrated not only musical excellence, but also the creativity, leadership, and sense of community that lies at the heart of CLC. ❤️

Our Head of Vocal Studies, Mr Harrison-Oram, shared some of the highlights and spoke about the talent, commitment, and imagination that each House demonstrated during the evening.

✨“Why is gender equality important, and why does it matter for everybody?”✨

Last week, we welcomed best-selling author, feminist, and activist, Laura Bates to College. She gave two inspiring talks sharing her experiences, research and advice with students.

Our student English Reps had the opportunity to introduce Laura’s talk and interview her beforehand, and all students were able to take part in a Q&A, speak to Laura after her talk, and take part in a book-signing event. 🤩
