Stronger immune systems, better appetites and elevated self esteem are all confirmation of their approach.

At Nursery Rhymes Day Nursery we aim to provide quality child care and pre school education for children from birth to 5 years, with an emphasis on learning through play, set in a beautiful rural environment. Play provides the fundamental foundation on which all future learning is built and research suggests that playing outside provides further essential benefits for young children. Nursery Rhyme

After spending the morning being Active In Nature, the Tiny Explorers had an afternoon being curious around indoor physical activities.
One of our children’s focus forms expressed an interest in going to the soft play over the weekends, and parents stated how they enjoy physically challenging themselves.

The Tiny Explorers really enjoyed being physically challenged this afternoon, climbing the indoor slide and bouncing, rolling and climbing on the peanut balls. The adults made sure to encourage lots of independence, whilst making sure that all of the children felt Secure and Supported. Tiny Explorers were Resilient Risk Takers, taking their time to navigating large movements and trying again when wanting another go.

The children were also Kind and Confident communicators, asking for ‘help’ when needed and encouraging their peers to take turns. The children communicated in both verbal and non verbals, such as signing, gazing and pointing.

We then finished this physical activity with a sensory session, waving scarfs and ribbons as we sang songs together. The children used language such as ‘orange’, ‘yellow’, ‘more…’. Some of the children loved having the scarfs on the heads, and Harmony said you look like a ‘pirate’, which then furthered this activity into a pirate party, where the children spoke about ‘treasure’ and ‘boats’. What a lovely way to scaffold their learning, whilst the being playful and having purposeful interactions.

This is a lovely Focus Led afternoon, whilst maintaining our SPARK curriculum☀️😊💥
