🌈 RAINBOW DRESS DOWN DAY 🌈

What a wonderfully colourful Friday we had! 🌈💜💙💚💛🧡❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who took part in our Rainbow Dress Down Day and to everyone who kindly donated. We were absolutely delighted to raise an amazing £146! 🎉

It was fantastic to see the school filled with so many bright colours, smiles and creativity. Thank you to all the children, families and staff for helping to make the day such a success. 💕🌈

Every donation and every bit of support makes a real difference and helps the PTA provide support, resources and opportunities for our school and its pupils.

We are incredibly grateful for your continued generosity and support. Together, we really do make a difference! 💙

⭐Who's in the Spotlight?⭐

⭐It's our wonderful Reception class! This is their first 'Spotlight' and just look at how much they have done already!
🤩From the start of term, they have been in full-time making new friends and adapting brilliantly to their new routines and school life.
🤝 We are really enjoying getting to know each other, playing, exploring and learning together. The children already know our school rules and how to do everything in The Greatfield Park Way by being Ready Respectful and Safe. 🙌🏼
📖 In Read Write Inc, we have been learning to read and correctly form our first sounds. ✏️ We have even started to Fred Talk and read some words.🐸
☀️We have been so lucky to have started school with such sunny weather so have taken plenty of learning outside. We have noticed some early signs of autumn too. 🐿️ 🍂 🌰
🎾In PE, we have been 'Mighty Movers' with Beth, developing our balance and coordination, with lots of fun equipment and games. 🤸🏽‍♂️
🏡Our visit from Little City was such a treat with wonderful opportunities to dress up and be whatever you want to be!👩‍⚕️ 💇‍♀️ 👷 🧑‍🍳
⭐ Wow, Reception! We hope you have had a big rest this weekend, so you can do some more next week.
👋🏼See you tomorrow, everyone! 😃

🌍Yesterday, the Year 1 children had a wonderful afternoon, exploring the language of a location in their geography lesson!
🌏After working hard in class to describe the location of a boat on rivers and a cafe near a campground, they went outside and worked as a group to locate themselves around the play equipment! They were under the play tower, walking along the climbing frame, standing outside forest school, and they even went up on top of a bench!
🌎Can you use locational language to find the children?
