We are incredibly proud to share the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection for GITEP SCITT 🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢

Following our inspection in January 2026, GITEP’s primary provision has been judged to be at a Strong standard across all areas, including achievement, curriculum, inclusion and leadership.

As the primary lead partner, we are immensely proud of what this reflects about our shared work with schools, mentors, professional leads and trainees.

The report recognises the ambition, care and expertise at the heart of our primary programme, and the way trainees are prepared for the realities of the classroom from the very start.

Ofsted noted that:

“Leaders have designed a high-quality and ambitious primary Initial Teacher Education curriculum… rooted in high-quality research, ensuring that trainees learn the most relevant knowledge needed to teach. Through clear expectations from both the provider and schools, trainees are very well prepared for the realities of teaching in the primary phase.”

The inspection also highlights the inclusive culture we work hard to protect, the strength of mentoring, and the rapid progress trainees make from their individual starting points – particularly in key primary areas such as early reading and behaviour management.

This outcome belongs to our trainees, school partners, mentors, professional leads and colleagues across the partnership.

This post is a one year secondment for the equivalent of one day per week.
