Congratulations to Beaufort, Winners of House Cross Country 2026, and to all who participated in this event, from Year 7 right through to Sixth Form.

Beaufort's House Officials team said,
"Beaufortā€™s victory in House Cross Country 2026 was hard fought. Participation was mandatory for some, but the work we saw to finish the course walking, running, or anything in between was a credit to the school community. An impressive number of individual year group winners deserve our thanks, in addition to our senior runners in Years 12 and 13 who pushed a level of participation way above and led to us scoring so many points. The standard has been set!

We loved participating in this whole school House event. A huge congratulations to everyone who ran, cheered, and contributed to bringing the win home, Beaufort is certainly not feeling blue today!"

Our new Year 12 students made the most of their multi-faceted Induction last week, with an Indoor Induction Day and Outdoor Induction Day in the mix.

Teamwork and bonding were high on the agenda as they created a drama performance from scratch, took on obstacle course, nature in art and command task challenges and tried their hand at archery and Pate's climbing wall.

Well done Year 12! We are looking forward to welcoming Year 12's parents and carers later at our Sixth Form Information Evening.

Congratulations to all Patesians receiving GCSE results today. In addition to throwing themselves wholeheartedly into Pate's school life over the last five years, they have also achieved exceptional grades and personal outcomes and we are delighted to celebrate their successes today.

Out of the cohort of 150 students, who typically each sat exams in 10 or 11 subjects:
48% of grades were 9s
31% of all students achieved eight or more grade 9s.
74% grades 9-8
87% grades 9-7.

Headteacher Dr Richardson says,
"Our students and staff team have so much to be proud of today. These results reflect our vibrant, ambitious learning environment and positive ā€˜can doā€™ culture here at Pateā€™s, where every student can achieve their personal best. We wish these students ongoing success with their Sixth Form studies and look forward to supporting them in their future aspirations.ā€
