Our next RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course is running this October at Sir Thomas Rich’s School in Gloucester.

From 26 to 30 October, you’ll train towards becoming a qualified pool lifeguard, learning the practical rescue, first aid, and lifesaving skills needed to work poolside.

The NPLQ can be a great route into flexible paid work, whether you’re looking for a job alongside college or university, want to work in the leisure industry, or simply want a qualification that gives you real, practical skills.

Already qualified? We also have 6 NPLQ renewal places available on Friday 30 October.

We’re opening just 12 places for our early morning lane swim at Sir Thomas Rich’s School, Longlevens.

Three lanes. A maximum of four swimmers per lane. A full hour to swim without the crowds.

Monday, Wednesday or Friday
7:00–8:00am

Choose your morning and your monthly pass reserves your place every week.

Heated indoor pool · Lifeguarded · Free parking · Changing rooms & showers

£36 per month | Adults 18+

🏆 12 new pool lifeguards and 6 successful renewals!

A huge congratulations from us to all 12 candidates who qualified on Friday 28 August 2026, after completing their RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) with Swim Design Space.

Congratulations also to the 6 existing lifeguards who successfully renewed their qualifications on the same day.

Over five demanding days, our candidates developed practical rescue skills, first-aid knowledge, teamwork and the confidence to respond effectively in an emergency. Every one of them should be incredibly proud.

What a fantastic result for our latest RLSS UK National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC) course at Swim Design Space.

We’re incredibly proud of every candidate. Two days of practical training, rescue skills, teamwork and assessment, and every single candidate achieved their qualification.
