📚 Year 4 have been finding out about through the power of literature and real-life accounts!

👵🏾After reading , by Patrick Lawrence, they developed empathy for the characters through role play.

🇸🇭They heard first-hand from our very own Mrs Crowie what it was like to arrive from St Helena and they wrote diary entries from Granny’s perspective.

🚢Finally, they used Book Creator on the iPads to produce information texts about the Empire Windrush.

Year 2 have been bringing poetry to life, memorising their autumn poems and performing them with loud, proud voices!

Well done to our U11 girls’ hockey team who won their group and played a hard fought game in the QF at the IAPS Sport tournament today. This team has already shown so much progress this season and we are looking forward to watching their hockey journey this term. Thank you to IAPS Sport for organising, Teddies for hosting and to Mrs Knight and Mr Foster for their coaching and support

Together Everyone Achieves More!

Year 4 have been developing their teamwork during PSHE! They discussed the qualities of a good team player and then put this into practice in a fun game!

Our Year 5 and 6 cross country runners have got off to a great start to the season with both the boys and girls running at Burrows Fields this week. Well done to all who took part - a brilliant team atmosphere with everyone cheering each other on.

Year 2 Forest School – Place Value in the Great Outdoors 🌿🔢

Year 2 took their maths learning outside during their Forest School session, using natural resources to consolidate their understanding of place value in a fun and practical way.

🫐 Collected berries to represent ones
🪵 Gathered sticks to represent tens
🔢 Built and counted different numbers using their collections
🤝 Worked collaboratively to solve the challenges
🌳 Enjoyed hands-on learning in the woodland
