We’re still reeling after the incredible Open Day we hosted on Sunday to celebrate our 3rd Year Anniversary - it was nothing short of a pure joy to welcome so many of you to our studio to have a throw, make a mini, bid in our charity auction and eat delicious cake to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research!

The success of the day was only possible due to the effort, kindness and generosity of many people - our independent potters, who not only rose to the challenge of making miniature versions of their favourite pieces but then topped it off with baking and volunteering their time on the day! You are our community and we wouldn’t be here without you! 💚

We must also put out a huge thank you to our amazing team who volunteered their time and their expertise so that every visitor could enjoy a taste of pottery! (, , & .creations - you are the dream team!!)

On Sunday we will be sharing the grand total raised for Macmillan (online & cash donations) as we have been continuing to fundraise this week! If you would like to add to our final total sum you can still donate through our link (link in bio!)

We CANNOT BELIEVE how ridiculously cute and wonderful these mini ceramics are - all of them handmade by our incredible team and talented independent potters!

If you (like us! 👀) are keen to get your hands on some of these beautiful minis then be sure to come along and visit us this SUNDAY! Every single mini will be in our charity auction with 100% of proceeds being donated to !!

We will be open 11am - 4pm for our Open Day but the charity auction will end at 3PM (with the highest bids winning their mini ceramics of choice!) so you may want to time your visit to get in those last minute bids!

When you’re not bidding in our auction you can also take part in our free ‘mini’ pottery tasters or help yourself to a cake from our delicious homemade selection! (With tea & coffee too of course!)

Is it completely mad to go all out for mini pottery?

If that’s the case then our whole studio has gone a little mad creating wonderful miniature ceramics for this weekend’s fundraiser!

In case you needed a reminder: this Sunday (September 27th, 11AM-4PM) we will be hosting a studio open day to celebrate our 3rd Year Business Anniversary~!

The whole day will be dedicated to fundraising for including a Mini Ceramic Silent Charity Auction, free pottery tasters (including throwing & hand-building) and of course lots of cake, tea and coffee! (True Macmillan Coffee Morning Style!)

It’s hard to believe that it’s less than a week until our Studio Open Day & Macmillan Coffee Morning~!

To celebrate our ✨ THIRD YEAR ✨ business anniversary we are yet again hosting a fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support (Macmillan Cancer Support) - this year’s theme: ‘Mini’s for Macmillan’!

On Sunday September 27th be sure to pop in and visit us any time from 11AM - 4PM to take part in…

💚 Mini Ceramics: Charity Silent Auction!
The Potthouse Collective Team and our incredible independent potters have been busy making special ‘mini ceramics’ (miniature versions of their favourite creations) - these incredible minis will all be available to bid on as part of a silent auction with 100% of proceeds going to charity! ⚠️ NOTE: The Mini Ceramics Silent Auction will close at 3PM - giving our lucky winning bidders time to collect their beautiful new mini treasures!

💚 FREE ‘Mini’ Pottery Tasters
We will be hosting free mini pottery workshops throughout the day including throwing on the pottery wheel (with the added challenge of throwing the smallest pot!) and Hand-Building Mini Mugs (with the option to even paint them)! If you fall in love with your mini you will be able to choose to fire them with the firing cost being 100% donated!

💚 Delicious Cakes, Tea & Coffee!
Our potters will be switching their kiln gloves for oven gloves this week and baking lots of sweet treats! (You can’t have a Macmillan Coffee morning without a cake and something to wash it down with!) Free tea, coffee and other refreshments will be provided with plenty of space to have a seat and a natter with our community!

Any and all donations that you can make will make a huge difference - last year we were able to raise just over £1000!!! (Let’s try and beat that this year!!)

We are incredibly excited to announce that we will soon have the lovely Dave Short visiting our studio for a special one-off seasonal class: Gluggle Jugs!

If these jugs are looking familiar that’s because they became super popular after featuring as a challenge on the Great Pottery Throwdown - with Dave making it all the way to the finals!

In this one-off workshop Dave will guide you step by step through the process of hand-building your own jug - including teaching you the special steps needed to ensure you end up with a good Gluggle!

At the end of the class you will have a choice of whether you would like your jug finished with a coloured glaze or whether you would like to take part in a follow-up painting session to really make your jug pop!

This class is perfect for complete beginners who would like to try pottery or more advanced potters who are ready for something fun and different!

Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming to the studio for his Face Sculpture Masterclass~! ✨

It was incredible to watch as slabs of clay slowly but surely turned into life-like human faces through Adam’s careful guidance, support and wealth of knowledge! (Be sure to stick around to the end of the reel to see the final ‘jaw-dropping’ vases!)

We can’t wait to welcome Adam back to the studio soon - would you like to join his next masterclass?

Join us as we load our beautiful ✨ N E W ✨ kiln ready for its first ever glaze firing~!

(We’re very excited as we’ve never had a brand new kiln in the studio before but this year we finally treated ourselves!!)

As per usual this loading includes a combination of classwork, coursework, independent potter pieces and pieces from private pottery parties~! (See anything you recognise?)

Next week we will be celebrating our 3rd Year Anniversary and to share our happiness and gratitude with you all we will once again be hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning/Studio Open Day to raise money for the incredible Macmillan Cancer Support!

More details will be coming very soon but for now you need to SAVE THE DATE: Sunday September 27th! (11:00-16:00)

Make sure you write it in your diary and set lots of reminders now unless you want to miss out on an amazing day of mini ceramics (charity auction!), free pottery tasters (including mini throwing challenges and mini make a mug!), delicious homemade cakes & bakes, tea & coffee and a fun day of socializing with our wonderful community!

We’re so excited to kick off our ✨NEW✨ Level-Up Hand-Building course tomorrow evening~!

This is an example of one of the pieces our potters will be making (in their own design of course - though we can’t blame if anyone is tempted to make their own fat tiger!) - this piece focuses on more advanced ways of harnessing a foundational pottery technique: pinch pot!

We have a couple of last-minute spaces on our 8-Week course if you fancy joining us and adding a pottery treat to your Monday evenings this Autumn! (Link in bio to book!)

Our seasonal pottery classes will be going LIVE for booking this Sunday at 7PM (19:00) as a nice treat to celebrate the end of the first week of September!

🍁 Witch’s Potion Class
Saturday October 3rd (10:00-12:30)
-> Create your own unique Potion Bottle Bud Vase to decorate with coloured slips and sgraffito!

🎃 Pinch-Pot Pumpkins
Saturday October 3rd (13:30-16:00)
-> Create a pumpkin Tealight to decorate your home this Halloween using pinch-pot and clay carving!

⏰ Daylight Clock Class
Saturday October 24th (9:30-12:30)
-> Turn a ball of clay into a fully functioning clock using slabs, moulds, 3-D shapes and underglaze paints!

🏠 Winter Tealight Class
Saturday November 7th (14:00-16:30)
-> Use pre-prepared hard-slab clay, templates and cutters to create your own little Tealight house!

🐦‍⬛ Bird Sculpture One-Day Workshop
Saturday November 14th (10:00-16:00)
-> Join resident potter for a full-day hand-building workshop where you will sculpt your own life-life bird!
