This weekend we held our latest ‘Greenware Decoration Day Camp’ - here are the beautiful results!

If you’re wondering why you didn’t see this workshop advertised it’s because it’s exclusive for our independent potters - we develop and host these ‘Day Camps’ because we love continuing to support our potters in their pottery development journey!

This particular Day Camp covers a range of decorative techniques that can be used on ‘Greenware’ (unfired clay) all while being achievable with the materials and equipment provided in our studio!

It’s always good fun as this also turns into a bit of a ‘marmite’ day - some techniques potters love, some they swear off forever! (But you have to try everything once!)

We are incredibly proud to share that we have been working with .arnett (in collaboration with ) to create 1000 ceramic ‘Seed Tokens’ as part of her incredible Macmillan Cancer Support Nascent Garden at the upcoming Badminton Show!

In this behind-the-scenes sneak preview you get to see parts of the process we took to hand-make every single token - so far taking 3 days to make 1000 tokens!

These tactile tokens will head to the kilns next before they become part of the beautiful garden designed by .arnett - you will have to head along to RHS Badminton in July (8th-12th) if you want to see the final result!

We have always been and will continue to be proud supporters of and we hope these tokens will go a long way to raising further awareness and support for their charity! 💚

Does this sound familiar?

“I’m not creative.”
“I can’t paint or draw.”
“My art teacher told me I was terrible.”
“I’ve never touched clay before.”

We hear these things in every class. And then watch our students flourish…YOU can do it too!

All of these beautiful pieces were made on our 6-Week Beginners Hand-Building Course. Most of these potters were complete beginners who had never done pottery. They arrived with their preconceptions and their fear and emerged having made truly beautiful work.

“Did I really make that?”

Yes you did. And the beauty of pottery is that, with the right guidance and support, anyone can do it.

So don’t let your fears stop you - you deserve so much more!

Our Autumn batch of 6-Week courses will be going live for booking this Friday (keep your eyes peeled for more details coming soon!)

We can’t wait to meet you!

Last night we had the pleasure of hosting members of the Chief Engineers Office from for a private pottery class! ✈️

When your work involves lots of deep thinking and calculating there’s nothing quite like getting stuck in some clay to give your mind a break! Everyone did such a good job - just look at the range of designs and colours!

After enjoying their class everyone got to enjoy delicious food and drinks from (the lovely venue!) before enjoying a lucky window of sunshine outside~!

Thank you so much for being such a lovely group to teach! (Especially to the many of you visiting us all the way from the States! 🇺🇸)

Last weekend we had the absolute pleasure of making another trip over to Hereford to visit the wonderful Studio for a day of Raku!

Led by the talented and knowledgeable dream team (.makes and .b_ceramics) it was an incredible day of learning all about the Raku process including different techniques and the ever important health and safety steps!

We also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Adam, founder of (whose beautiful colourful pots are featured here - thank you Adam!)

A huge thank you to for another amazing day of clay, fire, laughter and delicious snacks~! 🔥

A very Happy Sunny Friday to you all~! ☀️

For us Friday usually means it’s time for Beginners Throwing classes! When our lovely beginner potters arrive for this class they often feel a combination of excitement and a little bit of nerves - perfectly normal when trying something completely new!

Those nerves soon disappear when they realise they are in good company (surrounded by beginners!) with a supportive teacher (who makes things fun!) with plenty of time for attention (being only one of six students!)

If you fancy coming for a throw our summer classes are available to book now~!

Busy this summer? Our September classes might be coming very soon… 👀

Anyone else feeling hot? 🥵

It’s amazing the difference a couple of days make! We had a good old chuckle looking at the difference in outfit from loading to unloading - winter boots and a fur-lined coat to dungaree shorts and sandals!

Of course that’s nowhere near as impressive as the gorgeous work that came out of this glaze firing! Lots and lots of ceramics from our independent potters as well as work from throwing classes and our recently finished 6-Week Beginners Hand-Building Course!

What kind of pottery would you want to add to the kiln?
