Ecctis colleagues were recently invited to celebrate the huge success of last year’s Hamper Scamper campaign, organised by one of the charities we support.

Caring for Communities and People (CCP) run one of the south west’s largest and most impactful food and gift appeals.

It aims to help households who are likely to struggle financially, or through loneliness and isolation, during the festive season.

Each year, CCP partners with over 50 local organisations and community groups to identify over 3,000 families and households who are struggling to make ends meet in the year, and who are worried about the added cost of the festive season.

The charity then ensures every household identified receives a festive food hamper and that each child they work with gets a gift wish.

Members from our Charity Committee, made up of colleagues who oversee our work with the four local charities we support, joined dozens of other local supporters at Grange Park, Bishops Cleeve, last month to reflect on the 2025 campaign and celebrate its success.

Our phone lines will temporarily close at 10:55am until 11:05am today (UK time), so colleagues can observe a national two-minute silence for Remembrance Day.
