🌍💚 Little Trees Inchbrook Celebrates Great Big Green Week! 💚🌍
Our children became little environmental champions through a range of exciting activities designed to help them understand how they can make a positive difference to the world around them.
♻️ Sorting recyclable materials into coloured recycling bins and learning how recycling helps reduce waste.
🚛 Using handmade telescopes created from recycled materials to watch the recycling truck collecting behind the nursery.
🌊 Exploring the effects of litter on our oceans and learning how pollution can harm marine life.
🌱 Planting seeds and discussing how trees help our environment, as well as the benefits of growing our own food sustainably.
🎨 Designing "Save Our Planet" posters to share important environmental messages.
💨 Discovering renewable energy through wind turbine models and learning how wind can be used to generate clean power.
📚 Hosting a nursery book swap to encourage reusing and sharing resources within our community.
At Little Trees Inchbrook, we believe that even the smallest hands can make a big difference. By introducing environmental awareness at an early age, we are helping to nurture a generation that understands the importance of protecting our planet for the future.

This week we're shining the spotlight on Fliss, our Nursery Team Lead at Little Trees Brownshill 💫
With over 15 years of experience in early years childcare starting at Little Trees Inchbrook, her knowledge, leadership and passion for supporting children's development make her an invaluable member of the team. She now works across Brownshill supporting staff development, training and the continued growth of the nursery.
Now, let's get to know her a little better...
🎵 Favourite part of the nursery day?
Music and Movement! Fliss loves watching children respond to music in their own unique ways and seeing their confidence shine through.
🌱 What does she enjoy most about her role?
Sharing ideas and watching children and colleagues learn, develop and grow.
🍎 Who was her favourite teacher?
Mrs Gleed, who made learning feel like play and put on spectacular Christmas pantomimes every year.
🐱🐶 Cat person or dog person?
A bit of both! Fliss grew up with a dog and now has a very fluffy cat called Lola.
🎬 Favourite Disney film?
Tangled – for its brilliant songs, humour and adventure.
🐾 Tell us about Lola!
She's wonderfully fluffy, very silly and spends much of her time chasing flies around the house.
🎄 Favourite family tradition?
Attending a Christingle service on Christmas Eve before heading home to put on Christmas pyjamas and watch a festive film together.
🍂 Favourite season?
Autumn, for cosy evenings and the beautiful changing colours of the leaves.
🐱 If she could be any animal?
A cat – so she could nap whenever and wherever she likes while exploring the world around her!
🔤 Hidden talent?
She can say the alphabet backwards!
Thank you, Fliss, for the dedication, experience, enthusiasm and warmth you bring to Little Trees every day. We are so lucky to have you as part of our team. 💚

Everyone at Rogerstone Welfare Cricket Club are absolutely delighted to announce a fantastic new sponsorship agreement with Dean Close Little Trees Nurseries! 🎉
It is brilliant to welcome such a well-known and highly respected childcare provider to the club, with Dean Close Little Trees Nurseries operating across nine nursery locations throughout Wales and England.
The banner displayed at Rogerstone Welfare Grounds is specifically promoting their Celtic Springs branch, which currently has availability for children aged 0–4 years old 👶💙
Sessions start from just £39.50, and anyone interested can simply scan the QR code displayed on the banner at the Welfare Grounds, email the team directly, or give them a call for more information 📲
We are absolutely delighted to help advertise Dean Close Little Trees Nurseries within the local area, especially being so close to Jubilee Park, where there is a huge amount of footfall from local residents who regularly make their way over to Rogerstone Welfare Grounds and could potentially benefit from the fantastic childcare services available at the Celtic Springs nursery.
Our Sponsorship Executive, Alec Holdaway, said:
“A massive thank you to Dean Close Little Trees Nurseries for getting in touch with the club. Once again, like all the other businesses and companies we work with, we are being seen as a genuine marketing and advertising platform alongside helping to support the cricket club. We operate on a public ground which benefits many local residents and people from the Rogerstone and Newport area. Thanks to Clare for getting this agreement over the line with the club for a three-year sponsorship. We hope a lot of the people who see the banner can help benefit and support their company moving forward.”
This partnership once again highlights the fantastic relationship between local businesses and Rogerstone Welfare Grounds, helping companies advertise to thousands of visitors every year while also supporting grassroots cricket and the continued growth of the club 🏏💙

From Stroud to Australia! 🌍✈️
Our children have been very busy sending a special parcel to our new pen pals in Australia! (Although one of the maps may have been upside down… we promise it wasn’t us teaching them Australia is down under! 😄)
As part of this exciting project, the children have been learning all about Australia — discovering that it’s in a different time zone, how far away it is, and thinking about how we could travel there and how long the journey might take. We also talked about what life in Australia could be like and were very surprised to learn they celebrate Christmas in warm weather! ☀️🎄
The children have also explored how parcels travel after leaving the post office, and we’ve been enjoying tracking our parcel’s journey together using the tracking number.
Inside the box, we shared lots about life here in Stroud, including the fun things we do at Little Trees Inchbrook, and asked our Australian friends to tell us all about their nursery and what life is like for them.
Keep checking back to follow our parcel’s adventure and see the exciting response from our Aussie pen pals! ✉️🌏

Friendly Faces ✨ Meet Karen Green
We are delighted to introduce Karen Green, our Regional Manager supporting our nurseries across Cheltenham, Gloucester and Tewkesbury.
Karen plays a vital role in guiding and supporting our nursery managers, their teams, and the children and families they care for. With a strong focus on leadership, encouragement and quality practice, she works closely with each nursery to ensure they feel confident, supported and empowered to thrive.
One of Karen’s proudest achievements in Early Years isn’t a single inspection result — it’s watching nursery leaders grow in confidence and belief in themselves. Supporting managers to strengthen practice and create nurturing environments for both children and staff is what drives her every day.
📚 Favourite story: Owl Babies — loved for its beautiful illustrations, simple repetitive text and it's reassuring message that parents always return.
🍷 Dinner guest of choice: Tyrion Lannister (Game of Thrones) — for the great stories, wit and honesty (best enjoyed with good food and wine!).
We’re so proud to have Karen supporting our nurseries and leading with heart ❣️

We are incredibly proud to share some wonderful news for Dean Close Little Trees. 💫
Both Welsh nurseries — Little Trees Celtic Springs and Little Trees St Arvans have been recognised in the Top 20 Nurseries on Day Nurseries in Wales, a fantastic achievement that reflects the care, dedication, and commitment shown by our teams every single day.
This recognition means so much. It’s a reflection of the nurturing environments we strive to create, where children are supported to grow in confidence, curiosity, and happiness, and where families feel truly part of our community.
A huge congratulations to both teams for this well-deserved accomplishment. Your passion and hard work continue to make a real difference.
We are so proud of you all 🌟

What a magical day celebrating Little Trees Tewkesbury’s 1st Birthday🎉
We had such an incredible party filled with laughter, fun, and so many special moments. The children were wonderfully entertained by the Music Man, enjoyed face painting, bounced their hearts out on the bouncy castle, explored the fantastic tuff tray activities designed just for them and the rain didn’t dampen our Little Trees spirits one bit! ☔💚
To top it all off, we shared a beautiful tea party together, along with a truly wonderful birthday cake made by our very own cook, Audra 🫖🎂✨
A huge thank you to all the amazing families who joined us today and helped make our first birthday so memorable. We feel so lucky to have such a supportive and joyful community around us 💚
Here’s to many more years of growing, learning, and celebrating together! 💫🥳
