Thank you to our amazing Friends of Infant Perryfields School (FIPS) team for all of your support with fundraising! 🤝

This term, FIPS has raised a total of £962.64 from our Mother’s Day gifts, Easter Raffle and Disco, which will go towards buying new play equipment for our pupils to enjoy.

We want to also thank all our parents and carers for your generous donations on Red Nose Day for Comic Relief. We raised £99 for charity, and your children had lots of fun wearing their Red Noses! 🔴

What an outstanding result for our pupils at the Year 2 Tag Rugby Competition!

Both of our teams shone during their matches, securing 1st and 2nd place against 11 other schools. 🥇 🥈

We are so proud of their teamwork and polite behaviour - well done!

Special thanks to Mr Bowen, Mrs Shaikhly, and to our wonderful parents and carers for their enthusiastic support on the day.

Did you know we recently had a visit from international storyteller, Mike Dodsworth - Storyteller for World Book Day? 📖

Mike performed a range of traditional stories for our pupils, who enjoyed seeing classic tales brought to life before their eyes. It was so lovely to see them bond over their shared love of reading and leave the session excited to read even more books!

A big thank you! 🌳

We would like to give a special thanks to a parent from Ruby Class for entering us into the Longacres giveaway! We are excited to share that we won the Longacre planting competition and have been gifted planters, compost, and bulbs to grow some lovely plants!

The children are beyond excited to get digging! 🌻

✏️38 per cent of our pupils are working at a greater depth for their reading level, compared to the 19 per cent national average.

Planning for the Easter Holidays? Here are five fun, screen free activities to do with your child to keep the learning alive over the break…

🐣Plan an Easter egg hunt using maths or reading questions as clues.

🐑 Visit your local community farm or National Trust site to learn more about animals and wildlife, who knows… you might see some lambs this time of year!

🕊️ Go bird watching in the park and draw pictures of the different birds you see.

🧺Host a picnic and inspired by your child’s favourite book. Invite your child’s friends and have them act out the characters. Extra points if you can do a funny voice!

🦖 Go on a day trip to the Museum of Chelmsford where they are running dinosaur-themed activities for children throughout the Easter Holidays (suitable for children 5 and up).

Earlier this year, we welcomed EST E Safety Training to our school - a charity which supports children with how to spot bullying online, “stranger danger”, and how to stay safe if they see something they are not sure of.

The world of technology is continually evolving, and we hope the session helped to continue to keep our children safe online!
