I put a post out last week about a government-funded Level 3 Diploma we're running for TAs/LSAs across the Greater Manchester area.

To clarify – this is NOT an Apprenticeship.

We've been granted government funding for 55 Teaching Assistants to obtain a NCFE CACHE-accredited Level 3 Specialist Support in Teaching & Learning Diploma.

We are contacting all schools in the GMCA region to ask if they could pass this information on to their TAs - an opportunity for them to gain a Level 3 qualification with no cost to the learner or school and no impact to any budget or levy with no time being asked out of class.

We’ve been allocated government funding to train 55 Teaching Assistants and LSAs across the Greater Manchester Combined Authority region with a fully funded NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma – Specialist Support in Teaching & Learning.

There’s no cost to your school or staff, no budget impact, and no time out of class required - This is NOT an Apprenticeship.

Key details:

Fully funded (no cost to school or learner)
12 months self-study with 24/7 online access
1:1 online (real human) tutor support
No college attendance / no exams
Observation Assessments carried out in the workplace by college assessor

Eligibility:
Aged 19+ (as of 31st August 2025)
Must be living in the GMCA region
Not currently on another government-funded course
Employed in a classroom-based role and working for a minimum of 16 hours per week
Gross Annual salary under £31,000.00

We’re now quickly filling our October funded places for the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma - Children & Young People's Workforce.

If any Essex-based TAs, 1:1s or LSAs would like to take part, it’s fully funded, requires no time out of class, and carries no cost to your school.

Once again – this is NOT an Apprenticeship – this is entirely funded by the 2025/26 Adult Skills Fund and Free Course for Jobs scheme.

Please let me know if you’d like me to forward more information. We have staff in the office this week to cover enrolments over half-term.

Last induction date is Wednesday 5th November.
