Our Nursery class had a bone-tastic surprise visitor - one of our friendsβ mummies, who is a radiologist!
She brought along her skeleton pal, Cedric, and the children were thrilled to explore him together. They learned all about her job, what X-rays are, and had fun spotting their bones by looking at real X-ray pictures.
To finish off, the children got their bodies moving with an X-ray dance, wiggling and shaking different body parts. There were lots of smiles and giggles all round! π¦΄πΆπ

Weβre loving every moment in our outdoor classroom! ππΏ
The children have had so much fun exploring all the autumn leaves. They have been jumping, scooping, and tossing them into the air with their friends. Autumn adventures are the best! πβ¨

In Orange Room, the children took part in a fun nursery rhyme themed activity, helping Incy Wincey Spider climb all the way up to their web! πΈοΈ
Overnight, Incy Wincey decided to build a brand new web above Orange Roomβs pumpkin patch, right on our cosy den! This gave our little learners the perfect chance to practise their fine motor skills by carefully picking up paper spiders from the floor and sticking them onto our masking tape web π·οΈπ€
The children then ended the activity by singing one of their favourite nursery rhymes, 'Incy Wincy Spider'! Great job everyone πΆπ

When the children arrived at nursery, they were so happy to discover conkers had fallen from our tree over the weekend! π°
Following their curiosity, our Green Room educators set up a 'conker rolling art' experience for the children to explore creativity, colour, and movement while supporting gross motor development π¨
Isabelle had a fantastic time choosing her colours and rolling the conkers to create her very own masterpiece! π
Well done Isabelle!

The children in Green room have been loving the story 'Room on the Broom', especially the exciting dragon part ππ
Eleanor brought the story to life with a magical pre-writing invitation to play. With their wands in hand, the children zoomed, swooped, and twirled just like the dragon in the sky!
Not only was this a joyful way to explore the story, it also built those important gross motor skills all through play and imagination π

Little hands, big wonder! πΈβοΈβ¨
Today was all about exploring the world through our senses. From the vibrant colours of fresh flowers, to the chilly touch of ice cubes, and the pure joy of popping bubbles floating in the air! ππ§π«§
Katy joined in the fun, adding magic to the moment by describing the textures with words like βcoldβ and βslippery,β helping our little learners build rich language as they play and discover π¬
Thereβs so much learning in every moment, and today, curiosity led the way! π

Etta had a brilliant time getting stuck into some messy, sensory play, digging in the mud and hunting for tiny insects! πͺ±π΅οΈββοΈ
With support from her key person Katy, Etta explored all the different textures she could feel and used her curiosity to look closely at what she could find in the soil. Together, they talked about what they discovered, helping Etta learn and use lots of new words along the way! πΏ
It was a fantastic hands-on experience that helped grow Ettaβs language skills, curiosity, and love for nature πβ¨

Welcome to nursery classβs Travelling Museum! Charlotte and Martyna brought a museum right into the classroom! ποΈπ§Έ
Each child received their very own admittance ticket and stepped into a world of discovery, exploring fascinating old toys and objects from the past. Charlotte showed everyone how to use the toys, while Martyna and Charlotte encouraged the children to be curious, ask questions, and think like a Thinkasaurus! π¦π‘
Then it was time to be Explorasauruses! The children took turns investigating different parts of the museum with their friends, sharing, taking turns, and using their imaginations π΅οΈ
The best parts:
βοΈJacob feeling proud with his very own museum ticket!
βοΈJackson and Zachary exploring how the vintage telephones worked π
βοΈIvy and Harrison being Tryasauruses as they figured out the flipbook with a little help from Martyna πβ¨
βοΈMaeva becoming a Thinkasaurus as she worked out how to use the spinning top π
