Essex Schools Showcase for the Arts

Essex Schools Showcase for the Arts Celebrating student talent from Essex Schools on display in the County City, this unique arts event is both created and organised by school students.

Where better to showcase the amazing talent contained within Essex Schools than the City of Chelmsford. Started in 2012, this event was created with the idea of students from schools within Essex helping to organise, co-ordinate, curate and invigilate at the showcase as well as making work for display. It showcases both the visual and performing arts and invites participation via workshops and demonstrations. In most cases this will be the first time the students (or their work) has interacted with the public to give a completely new dimension to their achievements. This year there will be contributions from eleven schools: The Billericay School, The Boswells School, Castle View School, Chelmer Valley High School, Chelmsford College, Chelmsford County High School for Girls, Deanes School, Great Baddow High School, Greensward Academy, Hylands, New Rickstones Academy. Sponsors for the event this year are: High Chelmer Shopping Centre, Gepp & Sons Solicitors and AT&A Insurance Brokers. The event will take place from 10th to 17th July 2013.

Don't miss out on the Essex School Showcase for the Arts which arrives at Chelmsford on 10th July! Come along and see/take part in:

Visual Art: A large gallery space showing 2D and 3D works.
Performance: Rock Band, Samba Band, Ska Band, Choirs, 3 Drama Groups, Poetry, Dance and more.
Art Workshops: Plenty of workshops for mums and toddlers and demonstrations.
