If you are due money from Air India, don't run around the call centre. You will get your money back (including court costs + Interest) by filing in the local county court (Whichever county you live)
Step 1: Find out Air India's UK Address from company's house web site: I give you the address for convenience

Step 2: Go to the following UK Government web site
https://www.gov.uk/make-money-claim, register yourself, file a claim, its a simple process, the notice will be issued to Air India in minutes. They will have a strict deadline to respond to the court, and it is 14 days (not 14 working days, but 14 days)
you will have a copy of the your claim letter, which you can download
Step 3: Email the claim letter to the following email address

Your money will be there in 3 days- they will call you with a very polite voice, pretending to be the best people in the world, they will care for you, they will listen patiently what you need to say, ask them to pay the interest from the day the money is charged and also the filing expenses.
Make a claim against someone who owes you money or manage an existing claim: small claims court.
