Technician in Equine 🦄

Do you have an unequivocal commitment to excellence and want to inspire others? If so, we are looking for you to join our FE Equine team! We are seeking a talented individual with the relevant working knowledge of the Equine industry to positively influence the student experience through teaching and learning. You will contribute to the day to day running of the FE Equine team, support lecturing staff, by providing skilled assistance to prepare and set up practical resources for classes.

We are looking for an Instructor in Equine Practical Skills 🐎

We are looking for a dynamic individual to instruct on full and part time equine courses to our Further Education students, including teaching riding, and instilling the highest industry standard amongst our students during their weekly yard duties.

Working as part of the core Further Education Equine team, everything you do will strive for excellence. You will be required to develop student’s industry skills, across a range of equine yard duties, including horse turnout competition preparation. Additionally, you will support curriculum staff in preparing students for end point practical and synoptic assessments and undertake assessment.

Completed the Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma? You can then progress onto the Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Equine Management 📖

This qualification will equip you with a wider range of more specialist skills and knowledge such as riding on the flat and over fences, grassland management, horse rehabilitation and therapy, stud and breeding, young horse handing and training, riding, coaching and planning lessons. You could also learn about retail management or business improvements. 🐴🦄

Want to study a level 3 qualification? 👩‍🏫

We offer a Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Equine Management (540) 🐴

This qualification gives students the opportunity to study a range of specialist technical practical skills and knowledge which will equip them to seek employment or further study within the equine industry 👨‍💻

Entry requirements = 5 GCSEs at Grade 9 - 4 (A* - C) which must include English, Maths and Science and satisfactory references from most recent School / College / Employer 📝

First up in our qualification introduction we have the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Equine Care 🐴

This qualification will enable students to gain an understanding of the skills and knowledge that are important when working with horses, or progressing to further learning and training in this area 👩‍🏫

Entry requirements = 4 GCSEs at Grade 9 - 3 (A* - D) with a minimum of Grade 3 (D) in English and Maths and satisfactory references from most recent School / College / Employer
