New Hall School is a leading Catholic independent boarding & day school for girls and boys aged 1-18. The School operates an unusual and highly successful ‘diamond model’ structure, i.e. co-education in the Nursery (1-4), Pre-Preparatory (4-7) and Preparatory Divisions (7-11), single-sex education in the Boys’ Division and Girls’ Division (11-16) and co-education in the Sixth Form (16-18). In this way, New Hall provides the best of both worlds: the benefits of a co-educational environment together with the advantages of girls and boys being taught separately at Key Stages 3 & 4. New Hall has a Catholic foundation and ethos and welcomes all who support that ethos. Students of different faiths and traditions belong to our community and we believe that everyone benefits from the values of trust and respect that are central to our school life.

Our students and teachers continued a wholesome back-to-school tradition, a run down our mile-long Avenue, in the shade of its lime and oak trees. Starting the year promoting an active lifestyle, the Avenue Run makes the most of our beautiful campus and its heritage gardens!

We are excited to announce that New Hall is a finalist in the Independent School of the Year Awards for Student Wellbeing. The fantastic news follows our Commendation earlier in June.

At New Hall, wellbeing is rooted in relationships, with every student affirmed, valued, and supported to achieve their full potential. Our investment in pastoral care has developed a highly skilled team dedicated to supporting students’ wellbeing including tutors, Student Support Managers, our Resident Chaplaincy Team, Heads of Boarding, Assistant Heads of Boarding, Matrons, Heads of Division, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Counsellors. We are pleased that our team’s care and dedication have been celebrated in these national awards.

It has been a fantastic start to the academic year at New Hall! We gathered as a community for a traditional Start of Year Mass, our Reception pupils met their very own Beaulieu Bears, and we enjoyed catch-ups and games across our beautiful campus 💗

We are excited to present the breadth of our on-site instrumental tuition at our upcoming Instrumental Taster Session. Join us on the first day of school in the Walkfares Canopy between 3.30pm-5.30pm to try a variety of instruments, meet our Visiting Music Teachers, and find out more about instrumental tuition seamlessly incorporated into the school day.
For Years 1-7 (students in Years 1-6 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian).

Harry secured a fantastic set of GCSE results - 9 grade 9s and 1 grade 8. Harry has been a boarder at New Hall since Year 7, and looks forward to moving to Campion House, the Sixth Form boys boarding house, with all of his friends. A keen Rugby player for New Hall, Harry hopes to study Chemistry and Biology, and Mathematics or History at A Level.

This year's GCSE results from New Hall’s boarding students were outstanding, with 40% of grades at 8+ (A*). “These outstanding results demonstrate the value of the additional support our boarders receive. Students benefit from structured study time and support from specialist staff, that help our boarders to flourish academically and personally.” - Mr Carroll, Director of Boarding

"So many people from different years come together for shows, it's such a community and it's really fun!" This academic year, Phoenix performed in the Musical Theatre Showcase, Senior Dance Show, and the Senior Production of 'School of Rock'! But Phoenix's successes continued beyond Performing Arts, as she was awarded a Gold certificate in the UK Maths Trust Pink Kangaroo, which placed her in the top 10% of the thousands of participants across the country. We look forward to seeing what's next for Phoenix in the Sixth Form!

Jack, one of New Hall's top achievers, secured an impressive set of GCSE results - nine grade 9s and two grade 8s. Jack has represented New Hall in the Cricket, Hockey, and Football teams, and most looks forward to the sporting opportunities in the Sixth Form. A keen linguist, Jack hopes to study French and Spanish at A Level, as well as English or Business.
