Out to Africa
The Out to Africa project is intended to establish a long-term relationship between MEHT and UTH that will bring mutual benefits through shared learning.
This charitable project was initiated by Consultant Vascular Surgeon, Tom Browne and the overall aim is to link as many people and departments within MEHT, with their peers at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka, Zambia. Wow! After all get hard work today it was great to see Sue Win the guess the weight of the cake she guessed 2.225kg & it was 2.4kg & she was the closest. Enjoy the wonderful Christmas cake kindly made & decorated by Caroline Dennis along with many more yummy cakes also made by other members of the family 😍🙏🤶Thankyou all

The Out to Africa Christmas fayre is back! TOMORRO! And just like 2019 we have: a live Irish band, guess the weight of the cake, a tombola, Christmas crafts, accessories for your pets and of course lots of CAKE! Do join us in Broomfield atrium from 9.30 onwards….. See you there!

Save the date! 1st December we will be holding a Christmas stall! But we need your help - particularly bakers and those crafty people who can make some hand crafted items. Lunabelle Lovelies is run by our project manager Margaret. She makes pet accessories and brooches to raise money for charity. One of her charities this year is Out to Africa. So far this year she has raised more than £550 for us and almost £2500 for all the charities she is supporting.
