Photos of the incredible week I had working with the amazing Dr Ruth Lowry “The University of Essex “ representing the Clem Burke Drumming Project. At the Royal Society Exhibition in London. I met some fabulous people in the five days I was there. In the same week I was in a BBC Essex TV film about Ruth’s research .
Back to teaching this week and fingers crossed for Nathan with his Grade 4 drum exam.

I am very proud to say that I am personally helping to support the exhibit and I am very excited to be there with The Clem Burke Drumming Project and Essex University.

Hi everyone, just thought I would share with you this beautiful Pearl restoration I have completed that will be used in the studio. It was left in someone’s shed rotting , rusting and damaged. I was close to scrapping it as the rust was seriously horrible.
It does possibly have a story. I was informed that the guy who owned it went to university with the band Coldplay and was offered the job as their drummer but turned it down? The cases still have British Airways flight tags on them.
All I know is they are fantastic !

I just had a very nice surprise from RSL Awards with their cool post on ALF Drum Studios.
I am proud to say that there have been some massive video exam success stories at my studio. With more on the way.
I am blessed to teach such incredible students and believe that the RSL exam syllabus is the best platform to teach my student’s.

Hi everyone.I’ve just found out this week that I have after years of work passed my RSL Licentiate L6 Diploma in teaching music.
The Diploma consisted of nine exams and I need to give very special love and thanks to my partner Vicky Smith for her help ,patience and support .Alex and Liam for giving up days of their personal time to help with two of the nine exams and all of my students and their families and friends for supporting the studio for the last five and a half years . Thanks 🙏

A fantastic well done to ALF Drum student Jesse on recently achieving a Distinction in his Grade 1 RSL Awards performance exam .
Also well done to his roadie mum with helping Jesse with the exam submission.

Hi everyone and a very Happy New Year. I’m so proud and pleased to tell you that ALF Drum Studios has been open for teaching for Five Years. It has been a fantastic time for myself and I have met so many wonderful students,parents,customers and friends.

A very big well done to Daiwik , a student at ALF Drum studios in achieving a Distinction in his Grade Debut RSL drum exam.
His grade was achieved through a lot of hard work (which is also fun 🤩) practice and his result reflects this. Well done !!! 91 percent.
