We recently began delivering Early Talk Boost sessions in the Bumbles room, led by Viktoria and Sunita.
As part of this, the children will be enjoying a weekly story alongside fun, language-focused activities to support their communication and understanding.
We encourage you to continue this at home by sharing stories together and talking about them with your child.

We've had a fantastic time exploring our Under the Sea topic!
π The children enjoyed a variety of creative and sensory activities, including making jellyfish using sand and glitter, creating under-the-sea animals with playdough, and exploring a coral reef tray.
π‘Sensory play has been very popular, especially our water bead tray linked to our ocean theme.
π¦ We've also been learning about how to look after our oceans, discussing the importance of taking our rubbish home and staying safe when near the sea.

Last week the children made their own smoothies using bananas, strawberries and spinach.
At first the children were unsure to try it due to the green colour, however when Zoe suggested that she thought it looked like Hulk juice β it was a big hit!

Earlier this month the children created some beautiful nature inspired art. After making the 'frame' they had the freedom to create their own original designs.
Activities like this encourage your child's self-expression and help them to build confidence in themselves and in the decisions they makeβcreative or otherwise.

π« Last week the children planted carrots, lettuce, radish, and sweetcorn in the garden. We are very excited to watch the seeds grow, and hopefully we'll get to harvest and taste them later in the year! π₯

Recently the Bumbles children have been talking about their new schools and trying on uniforms from our dressing-up area.
They've also been using their imagination to play 'school' by pretending to be teachers and using exercise books.

We aim to provide your little ones with a supportive environment at this important time in their lives.
Through a variety of activities, including role play, we encourage the children to take part in conversations about starting school, and practice following direction from staff.
This gives them lots of opportunities to express their feelings, ask questions, and build confidence in themselves ahead of this big change.

Last week as part of our farm topic, the children enjoyed a variety of themed activities.
π They used junk materials to create animals, matched written animal names to the correct picture, and read farm themed books.
π During circle times the children learned about different types of farming such as rice and trout.
π We also practiced signing farm animals in Makaton including pig, cow, chicken and duck.
π On Friday morning, we were lucky enough to watch a tractor cut the grass on the field, which the children found very exciting and inspired lots of tractor themed play!
