A very warm welcome to all of our new children and their families, and welcome back to all those returning to Springfield Bees this term!

We've had a busy couple of weeks.

The children have been having plenty of fun as they settle into the new term: making playdough, getting creative at the craft table, trying some new snacks, and, of course, making new friends to play with.

A beautiful poem written by Lou to mark the end of the year:

At Springfield Bees Preschool,
we learned and laughed each day,
buzzing through our little hive
in our own special way.

We painted, played, and made new friends,
we sang and learned to share,
with teachers helping guide our wings
with kindness, love, and care.

Though we may leave our little hive
for big school up ahead,
the happy memories we made
will always fill our heads.

So buzz, buzz, little bumblebees,
go shine and do your best,
for every bee from Springfield Hive
is truly one of the best!

And wherever all your journeys lead,

We were delighted to welcome the Fire Service to preschool earlier this month!

🚒 Several firefighters joined us, and the children thoroughly enjoyed the exciting experience. They showed the children around the fire engine and spoke about their important role within the community, explaining that their work involves much more than putting out fires. Some of the children even had the opportunity to sit inside the fire engine.

🚨 During the visit, the firefighters were called out to an emergency. The children watched as they quickly put on their protective clothing before leaving with their sirens and lights on to attend the call.

🙏 We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Fire Service for their time, and to Lizzie, one of our parents, for organising the visit and supporting us on the day.

It was a wonderful and memorable experience for everyone!
