🎉 **GCSE RESULTS DAY 2026!** 🎉

Yesterday was a very special day for my science tutees as they received their GCSE results — and I couldn't be prouder of them. ❤️

But for me, Results Day isn't really about who got the highest grade.

It's about **where a student started and how far they've come.**

Many of the students I work with don't come to me already achieving grades 7, 8 or 9. They come because they're struggling, lacking confidence and sometimes genuinely worried that they won't pass their Science GCSEs.

So when a student who was achieving a 3 finishes with a 5 or 6, that isn't "just a pass".

It represents an enormous amount of work, resilience and progress.

This year's results included students who:

📈 Improved by several grades in their weakest science
📚 Turned a worrying mock result around in just a few months
💪 Maintained their grade despite significant personal challenges
🌟 Achieved results they had once thought were completely out of reach

And every single one of those achievements deserves celebrating.

I am so proud of every student I have worked with this year — not because of the number on their results sheet, but because I know **how hard they worked to get there.**

To all of my students receiving their results yesterday:

**You should be incredibly proud of yourselves.** ❤️

And to the parents who trusted me to be part of their child's journey — thank you. It is a privilege to watch these young people grow in confidence and realise what they are capable of.

Here's to celebrating **progress, perseverance and achievement in all its forms.** 🎉

SO proud of my amazing tutee! We have been working together since September, and having got a Grade 3 in Triple Chemistry in her end of year 10 exams, she just smashed an amazing Grade 6 in her November mocks! I can't wait to see how the next mocks go! 💪💪

As GCSE results day looms, it’s so important to remember that we all have different strengths and talents, and start in different places and grow at different rates - that’s what makes life interesting!

But wherever you start, with the right support you should be able to make progress and to me progress is much more admirable than attainment.

So tomorrow when you open that envelope remember where you were a year ago, and focus on how much progress you made over the course of year 11, and feel proud of what you have done. 💗

I can wait to see how my wonderful GCSE students got on!

Last but not least, an absolutely huge congratulations to my tutee E

E really likes Science, but wanted to boost her grades. When we started in November 23, she was a solid grade 6, in her combined Science GCSE.

Biology was her favourite, so we mainly worked on Chemistry & Physics as the trouble with combined science is if you struggle with one science it can pull down your higher marks from the other ones.

E with committed and worked diligently, completing every single worksheet I ever gave her (even the optional ones!) and well today she got her pay off!

E you absolute “Boss” her words not mine 🤣 you achieved the holy grail of a 🌟9-9🌟 and I’m so proud of you!

E has been offered a place to study in one of the country’s top grammar schools, and can’t wait to do Sciences at A Level 🧬🧪🔬🔭🥼

Watch this space…she is going to go far… now go enjoy Taylor Swift to celebrate…I’m not jealous at all 😭

Huge Congratulations to M on his awesome Combined Science GCSE results today. I started working with M just before Christmas.

M had not been happy with his mocks and wanted to get his grades up, despite not particularly liking Science or wanting to do it further on.

M enjoyed Biology the most, so we worked mainly on Chemistry 🧪 and Physics 🔭 but with a few Biology past papers thrown in nearer exam time.

M was getting grades 4/5 when we started and said he would be happy getting 6-6.

M walked out today with a 7-7!!! Well done M, I am so proud of you for keeping going, even when you really didn’t want to….it told you it would be worth it in the end! 🌟

Massive congratulations to one of my tutees E she smashed her Biology Triple Science GCSE today!

It’s safe to say when I started tutoring E back in October 2023, she wasn’t the biggest fan of Biology 🧬

She was working at around a Level 5 in all her Sciences, but felt Biology was her weakest, as she is a maths wiz and enjoyed Chemistry the most!

E worked so hard, always completing the work I set her between session and by the end of our time together she was even talking about maybe doing Biology A Level! 🙌🏻

E got a FANTASTIC grade 7, today in Biology! So she progressed up two grades from October to May!

Her Chemistry and Physics grades stayed at Level 5, which goes to show the difference a tutor makes! 💫

Well done E, it was a pleasure tutoring you, and I know you will go far! 🌟

Whilst I believe results are important and they often help you get where you want to go it’s so important to remember that whatever happens today you will be ok👌🏻
