Thursdays are usually about thanking the wonderful people who support The Ideas Hub... but this week, we’re going off-script!

Following yesterday’s incredible announcement that The Ideas Hub finally has a permanent home, our biggest THANK YOU goes to our Voluntary CEO, Edith Miller! 💙

She won't feel like it's needed, but it couldn't be more deserved. Edith is the visionary and driving force behind our charity. Without her tireless dedication, energy, and leadership, we wouldn't have this thriving community of volunteers working together to make Chelmsford a better place.

Thank you, Edith, for your passion, your hard work, and the whirlwind of positive change that you are! 🙌✨

📢A BIG NEWS ALERT! 📢🗝️✨
We’re bursting to share some incredible news… Today, Ideas Hub Chelmsford officially collected the keys to its new long-term home! 🏠🙌

This is a giant leap forward for us! 🚀 The charity has been moving from unit to unit since it formed in 2012, and we want to say a huge thank you to Meadows Shopping Centre, Chelmsford and High Chelmer for their amazing support over the years. ❤️

Thanks to our incredible team of volunteers, we’ve outgrown each temporary space and have been searching for a long time for a permanent place to properly settle and grow this wonderful charity. Well, we’ve finally found it! 🌳💫

We’ll be sharing plenty of updates soon as we redecorate the new space and get it ready for the grand opening! 🎨💃

We're also so pleased to say that The Art Place will continue at The Meadows Shopping Centre, offering unique gifts made by our talented local creatives. 🎁✨

This new space is going to be absolutely perfect for what we do. It gives us plenty of room we need to continue developing and growing our services for the wonderful residents of Chelmsford. 🏛️🌟

A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped us get this far—and here’s to an amazing future in our very own space…! 🥂🎉💖

Tracey is not only an accomplished artist, but she is also a massive part of our community. She runs fantastic Teen Art sessions at the Ideas Hub for homeschooled teenagers, and all her art sales support the Accomplish Children's Trust CIO

As a key member of Artists At The Meadows, her work is currently taking pride of place right in their front window! 🖼️

This week its time to say a BIG THANK YOU to the management and volunteer teams, who are now busy keeping both The Art Place Chelmsford in Meadows Shopping Centre, Chelmsford and The Ideas Hub workshop space in High Chelmer open.

With two spaces to cover, there's a fair bit of logistical planning behind the scenes, but with the help of the Counter Culture Games team, it is very much a community success!

This Friday, its not about any one featured trader, but more an explanation of why we have The Art Place Chelmsford in Meadows Shopping Centre, Chelmsford and how it contributes to the community. 🧐

✅ A space where local artists and creators can sell their work in The Meadows
✅ A space where young people can volunteer for their Duke of Edinburgh Awards
✅ A space where people can learn skills in customer service, which may in turn lead to paid employment
✅ A space for engagement with customers and other volunteers, across the social spectrum

We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, and thank our customers, both one off and regulars for being so positive about what we offer. 🙏
