We are looking for a Site Manager to join our friendly school from September 22. Please contact Mrs Powell on 01245 467625 if you are interested in this post. Details are:
Monday to Friday (hours to be discussed)
Boreham Primary School is a village school with approximately 224 pupils on roll.
Due to the pending retirement of our current caretaker who has happily worked at the school for over 32 years, we would like to appoint a site manager to look after our school and manage our cleaning staff.
You will need to have proven DIY skills and be willing to undertake a variety of tasks. Training in a trade such as plumbing or electrical work would be an asset although not essential. Your responsibilities will include:
- Site security
- Managing the health and safety of the site
- Liaison with external contractors
- General cleaning duties
- Maintenance and repairs/painting
- Manage cleaning staff
- Some flexibility with evenings and weekends.
This is a key role providing vital support to the continuing success of our schools and is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual with a 'can do' attitude to join our hardworking team.
We can offer:
- Support and training for 7 weeks working alongside our current caretaker
- Additional training where required
- Spacious and well-maintained school grounds with excellent facilities
- Children who are exceptionally well-behaved, very polite, happy, enthusiastic and eager to learn
Very supportive governors, parents and local community.

Thank you for your patience with the new system we have put into place. Emails will be sent directly to your email inbox. You should have received information about the re-opening of school. If you have not received this please call the school office as we may need to check your details.
Thank you again. 😊

The good news is most parents have successfully signed up for SIMS Pay. Unfortunately, a few parents are still having problems signing in. There is an app called SIMS Parent app and you can access SIMS Pay on this. A link for the parent app was sent yesterday to the primary email address on our system. When we see people are successfully set up, a link will be sent to the next primary email address, if applicable.
All communication will be sent to your email address. With Parentmail you had notification of a new email, unfortunately, you will only know you have a new email when you check your email inbox.
Please check your junk emails as a few parents found the re-opening of school information in their junk. Once you move to your inbox, future communication should automatically be received there.
We appreciate your patience and know it can be frustrating, we will get there and have everyone signed up soon. Any problems please call the school office. 👍

What an amazing week it has been for our school. The online dance and Q and A sessions has most definitely been the highlight of our celebration of Children's Mental Health week.
Shirley has been such an inspiration to us all and her manner and approach with all our children was simply heart-warming and full of positivity, spirit, and humour! Huge thanks also to Shirley's equally talented boyfriend, Danny, whose musical accompaniment was an absolute joy. Thanks also to Charlie the dog for entertaining the children!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Shirley for an incredible week, we can't wait to welcome you to our friendship school after lockdown.
