What a wonderful but warm week. We had a lovely walk over the field. Our caterpillars are in their cacoons and we look forward to the emerging as beautiful butterflies.

To all our families we would like to wish you a happy father's day and we hope you like the gifts the children made for you.

As a reminder the weather is due to be very hot next week, we will be having water play so please bring spare clothes and a towel. Suncream to be applied before children come into nursery and a water bottle. Thank you

Since being back after half term we have been looking after caterpillars and they have now fully grown and are in their cacoons. The children have been very interested in this. We also have some runner beans, tomato's, strawberries and lettuce growing, which the children enjoyed spotting the plants that had things finally growing.

Week 5 we had music roleplay and we were looking at letters. We also had tappy toes and the children were superheroes, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Week 4 we had a very popular opticians role play, we linked our learning this week with bugs as the children had a keen interest in this. The children really enjoyed using tools to help the bugs escape from the ice.

Week 3 saw us learning about shapes. We also focussed on road safety and had transport role play out to help teach this.

Week 2 we have been looking at different jobs in our roleplay area, as the children last week were talking to us about what they would like to be when they are older. We have quite a few potential police officers! We have been plating flowers in our flower pots and our focus this week has been shapes.
