What a wonderful first week back! Our new children settled very well, we were so impressed. Our returning children were very pleased to be back with their friends. The weeks focus was 'all about me' and we will continue this the following week.

We wish you all the best at big school/new settings, we know you will all be amazing. It was so lovely to see you all at our school leavers celebration and teddy bears picnic.

Over the last couple of weeks we managed the extreme heat having lots of fun with water play, which was enjoyed so much we have carried on the learning through water play. We have released our butterflies, some of the children had one land of them! We have also had success with our growing and the children ate the lettuce we grew at snack. The children were also very excited when they got to sit in a police car and the police officers were talking to them about how to keep safe. The police officers were very impressed the children knew all the answers.

What a wonderful but warm week. We had a lovely walk over the field. Our caterpillars are in their cacoons and we look forward to the emerging as beautiful butterflies.

To all our families we would like to wish you a happy father's day and we hope you like the gifts the children made for you.

As a reminder the weather is due to be very hot next week, we will be having water play so please bring spare clothes and a towel. Suncream to be applied before children come into nursery and a water bottle. Thank you

Since being back after half term we have been looking after caterpillars and they have now fully grown and are in their cacoons. The children have been very interested in this. We also have some runner beans, tomato's, strawberries and lettuce growing, which the children enjoyed spotting the plants that had things finally growing.

Week 4 we had a very popular opticians role play, we linked our learning this week with bugs as the children had a keen interest in this. The children really enjoyed using tools to help the bugs escape from the ice.
