We are incredibly proud of all our GCSE students and the achievements they have celebrated today.

These results are a reflection of the hard work, determination and resilience shown by our young people throughout their time at school. While we rightly celebrate the outstanding grades achieved by many, we recognise that success looks different for every student. Every grade represents an individual journey, and for some, achieving a particular result will be an especially significant personal achievement.

We would also like to thank our dedicated staff, as well as parents and carers, for the encouragement, support and belief they have given our students throughout their education.

Today is a moment to celebrate, but it is also the beginning of the next chapter. We wish every one of our students the very best as they move on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships, employment and their next steps beyond school.

We are immensely proud of you all, and we cannot wait to see what you go on to achieve.

🎥 A final message from our CEO, Gavin Ball.

As the academic year comes to a close and Gavin prepares to retire from Wessex Learning Trust, he shares a heartfelt message of thanks to our parents, carers and school communities for their continued support.

We wish Gavin a long, happy and well deserved retirement, and hope all our families have a wonderful summer break.

See you all in September.

🏆 Congratulations to Cheddar First School on achieving the ATSSA Bronze Award🏆

Following an independent assessment, the school has been recognised for creating a compassionate, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued and ready to learn.

The assessor praised the school's strong partnerships with families, its personalised support for pupils, and the warm, trauma-informed culture embedded throughout the school. They also commented that the evidence submitted met the award criteria "more than adequately" and described several aspects of the school's practice as particular strengths.

This award reflects the dedication of the staff, the support of families and governors, and the wonderful children who make Cheddar First School such a special community.

Congratulations to everyone at Cheddar First School on this well-deserved achievement.

To all our future trainees starting this September... welcome!

We can't wait to welcome you to the MSC after the summer. Before then, we're looking forward to meeting you at your induction workshop on the 21st July and giving you everything you need to feel confident ahead of your official start.

Our induction workshop is informative, practical, and the perfect opportunity to settle any first-day nerves. You'll meet your fellow trainees and tutors, have the opportunity to ask any questions you have, and leave feeling prepared for September.

On the day, you will,
- Receive important information about PGCE Assignment 1
- Find out about any summer preparation work
- Get your IT set up with support from the team
- Receive your core textbooks

Don't forget – we are also running a competition where you could win your core textbook (rather than buy or return at the end of the year). You should have received all the details in your 1st July email.

We can't wait to meet you all soon!

To all our future trainees, due to start in September, welcome!

We can't wait to welcome you into the MSC after the summer, but before that, we are excited to meet with you and provide you with all the information you need ahead of your official start.

The induction workshop is really useful, informative and a great opportunity to calm any nerves, as you will get to meet your fellow peers, tutors and ask any questions you may have - putting your mind at ease, over the summer period.

Attending the induction day is essential in receiving information regarding your PGCE assignment 1, exploring any work that you may be tasked with for the summer, set up all your IT, without the difficulties of doing it on your own....and receive you core textbooks! We also have a competition running for all our trainees, to win your core textbook, as these are either on loan to you throughout or available for purchase. You should have received information about this in your July 1st email!
