Standon Bowers 2026 🧡

Year 3 and 4 children have enjoyed a fabulous start to the week on our residential trip to Standon Bowers. ☺️ From caving to bouldering, to pond dipping and a blindfolded trail… we’ve done it all!

So many skills and lots of life experience gained. 🥰

Sports day 2026 🏅🤩🏃🏼

What a fantastic morning we had on Thursday for our Sports day! A huge thank you to all who attended to support and to our fabulous PTFA for all of their hard work.

It was wonderful to see our children take so much pride in their achievements and to celebrate their success… Well done TEAM HUTCH 🥰

The children have loved watching the England match together this morning and celebrating a fantastic win! ❤️🤍 It’s been brilliant to see so many England shirts. Who is your favourite England player?

In whole school worship today, we will be thinking about the values that sport teaches us, including resilience, determination and respect.

Come on England! 😀

Last Friday our Worship team enjoyed a trip to Dovedale House, where they enjoyed crafts, drama preparation and garden exploration. 🪴☀️☺️

They visited The Church of the Holy Cross, where they enjoyed guided meditation and a tour of the Chapel.

A fantastic day was had by all 🥰

What a great way to kick off this wonderful weather we are having, with an assembly from the Royal Life Saving Society UK. 🏊‍♀️🌊🛟

With a visit from Steve and his friend Olly the Octopus 🐙, we learnt all about the Water Safety Code and how to stay safe in Summer around various types of water. 💦

A big thank you to Cheadle Leisure Centre for visiting us yesterday and providing this important learning opportunity. 🥰i2e Partnership

This week children in Nursery have been learning all about Bees with their focus on the story ‘The Bumble Bear’. 🐝🐻

Today we have been broadening our vocabulary, having tasted and described some honey! 🥄🍯 we commented on how delicious, sweet and sticky it was. 🥰

Our very own Nature Garden… ☘️🌎🌿🌳🥕🥗🫜

A huge thank you to the Dudley family who during the half term break have worked incredibly hard to restore our outdoor learning space. 🥰

With a new vegetable patch created, we can’t wait to see lots of growth during the coming months. Our Eco team will maintain this wonderful space with potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes and more!

Over the past week, our worship assemblies and RE lessons have focussed on the Islamic story ‘The Tiny Ants’, teaching us about the importance of caring for all of God’s creatures. 🐜 Children made thoughtful links to similar values in Christianity. ☺️

To bring this learning to life, we enjoyed a whole school outdoor learning session, searching for ants! 🐜🔎👀

We’re now creating our own mini ant colony at Hutchinson, which our Year 1 children are taking great pride in caring for. 🥰
