Today we extend our heartfelt thanks to David Pottinger, who has retired after ten years as Chief Executive of Orbital.

David’s leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to our schools and teams have shaped Orbital into the organisation it is today. His decade of service has strengthened our global community and supported thousands of students, staff, and families around the world.

With more than 30 years of leadership and management experience in international education, David has brought a uniquely global perspective to Orbital. His career has taken him across a rich tapestry of countries, David has combined deep academic expertise with decades of hands-on experience in diverse cultural and educational settings.

We are deeply grateful for everything David has contributed and wish him the very best for the future.

What a fantastic start to the conference. The mix of culture, leadership sessions, and the chance for everyone to connect with students from across Orbital Education schools really makes this event something special.

As our communities come together to celebrate Eid, we extend our warmest wishes to all families, students, and colleagues observing this special time.
Eid is a moment for reflection, gratitude, generosity, and togetherness. It reminds us of the importance of compassion, community, and caring for one another — values that sit at the heart of our schools and have never been more important than right now.

This year, as many around the world celebrate while also holding heavy thoughts for current times and those experiencing hardship and uncertainty, the spirit of Eid feels especially meaningful. It calls us to show kindness, empathy, and solidarity with our community.

Across our schools in Doha, we are proud to be part of a diverse and supportive community where students learn not only academically, but also how to respect, understand, and care for others.

To all those celebrating, we wish you and your loved ones a peaceful and blessed Eid.

🌍 KS3 Leadership Summit in Shanghai ✨

We’re excited to announce that students from across the Orbital Education community of schools will soon come together in Shanghai for the upcoming KS3 Leadership Summit, hosted by Britannica International School, Shanghai

The summit will bring together young leaders from several of our international schools for a programme designed to help them develop their leadership skills, collaborate with peers, and share ideas. Through workshops, discussions, and team activities, students will explore what it means to lead with confidence, empathy, and responsibility.

It will also be a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with peers from different countries and cultures, building friendships and strengthening the global spirit of Orbital Education schools.

We’re looking forward to seeing our students take part in this exciting event and can’t wait to share highlights from the summit soon! 🌟

The annual Orbital Education MUN conference officially came to a close yesterday with a wonderful gala dinner ✨

We hope you enjoyed following all the action via Britannica International School Budapest’s social feeds - we certainly did.

We’re enormously proud of everyone who took part. It’s always special to see Orbital students performing at such an exceptional level, proving themselves to be intelligent, thoughtful, and passionate young people who articulate their views so eloquently.
