A huge thank you to the wonderful family who brought in their adorable lambs for the children to meet last week 🐑💛
The children were well impressed and surprised.

It was such a special experience for everyone — the children loved having the chance to cuddle, feed, and learn about these gentle little animals up close. Moments like these truly bring spring to life and create memories that will last a long time. 🌼

🌟 Discover the Magic at Milly's! 🌟
It’s been an incredible few weeks of discovery, growth, and big smiles. Here’s a little look at what our explorers have been up to:

🎶 Curiosity in Motion: Our enhanced home corner has been a huge hit! The children have loved exploring "real-world" objects, especially the spinning motion of our vintage gramophone.

✍️ Strengthening Little Muscles: We believe mark making should happen everywhere! The children have been busy practicing their "pre-writing" skills on horizontal and vertical surfaces, on natural objects, and even mark making overhead to build those all-important arm and shoulder muscles.

🌸 Mother’s Day Magic: We’ve been getting stuck in making Mother's Day gifts! It’s been a wonderful way to practice our gross and fine motor skills at the same time. We learn and grow with every play opportunity!

📚 World Book Day & Big Feelings: Alongside some amazing costumes, we’ve been diving deep into emotional literacy. Using mirrors, we’ve been learning what different emotions look like on our bodies and talking about the things that connect us to those feelings. ❤️

In Grasshoppers class, we are BUSY from 8:00–5:30, five days a week, all year round!

📚✨ Storytelling Week in Our Ladybirds Room! ✨📚

What a magical week we had celebrating Storytelling Week! Our toddlers have been diving into the wonderful world of stories through books, exploring sensory story trays and lots of imagination.

We’ve been building early language skills, encouraging a love of reading, and most importantly—having so much fun along the way. It’s been amazing to see their confidence grow as they join in with familiar words and phrases and create their own little tales.

❄️ Snowy Adventures at Nursery ❄️

What a magical few days we’ve had exploring the snow! Our children enjoyed sliding, mark making, and investigating textures outdoors, while some of our babies experienced their very first snowfall 🤍

Inside, we brought the snow theme indoors with sensory snow play and Arctic small-world activities, giving everyone the chance to explore safely, warmly, and at their own pace.

So much curiosity, excitement, and learning — from tiny handprints in the snow to big smiles all round! ⛄✨

Christmas has truly arrived here at Milly's.
Today the children from Bumblebees, Ladybirds and Grasshoppers have enjoyed joining in with some festive arts and crafts and playing pass the parcel together.
The children also had a very special visitor all the way from the north pole to see us with some presents. 🎅🎄☃️🎁
