Why does your toddler want the same rhyme again…and again…and again? 🎶

Familiar songs and nursery rhymes introduce children to the sounds, rhythms and patterns of language. Repetition helps them:

🎵 Anticipate what comes next
🗣️ Learn and remember new words
👏 Build confidence to join in with sounds and actions

Try pausing before the final word of a familiar line, adding simple actions or letting your toddler choose the next song.

Play isn't "just play."

It's how toddlers build confidence, solve problems, make friends, develop communication skills and discover the world around them.

Through movement, imagination, exploration and adventure, play supports every area of a child's development.

At Toddler Sense®, we see the power of play every day.

This National Play Day, let's celebrate the laughter, learning, friendships and adventures that help children grow into confident little explorers.

Because every great adventure starts with play.

🎉 Tomorrow is National Playday! 🎉

Toddlers are wired to learn through play. It isn’t a break from learning — it’s how they explore, experiment, solve problems and make sense of their world.

To celebrate, we’ve put together seven simple activities that support your toddler’s learning and development while being lots of fun. Best of all, you can try them using things you probably already have at home!

Swipe for ideas ➡️ Save this post for tomorrow and tell us which activity your toddler would choose first. 💙💚

Toddler Sense® classes are running locally throughout the summer. Visit www.toddlersense.com to find your nearest class or message us and we’ll point you in the right direction.

🤝 Happy International Day of Friendship!

Friendship starts long before children can say, "You're my best friend!" 💙

While friendships often begin to blossom around the age of three, giving toddlers plenty of opportunities to play alongside other children from an early age gives them a real advantage when they start toddler group or preschool.

That's exactly why Toddler Sense® is so much more than just an activity. Every class gives toddlers the chance to play, explore and learn alongside other children in a fun, supportive environment.

We often see it without anyone even noticing. One week they're watching from the sidelines... a few weeks later they're joining in, taking turns and setting off on adventures together. It's one of the loveliest parts of leading Toddler Sense classes. 💙

Has your little explorer made a special friend at Toddler Sense®?

We'd love to hear your story—or even better, share a favourite photo with us in the comments! Seeing these friendships grow is one of our favourite parts of what we do.

Happy International Day of Friendship from all of us at Toddler Sense®.

🌟 Helping Your Toddler Build Confidence

Every toddler is different.

Some little explorers jump straight into new adventures, while others are naturally a little more shy or reserved and prefer to take things at their own pace.

Did you know that shyness is partly influenced by genetics, but it's also shaped by experiences and how people respond to your child?

The good news is that confidence can be gently nurtured.

A familiar comforter (like Tod! 💚), a consistent routine, gentle encouragement and celebrating even the smallest achievements can all help your toddler feel more secure when trying something new.

👉 Swipe through for 14 practical ways to help build your toddler's confidence. Whether your little one is naturally shy, a cautious observer or simply takes a little longer to warm up, these simple ideas can really help.

Remember... every child develops at their own pace, and confidence grows one little adventure at a time. 💙
