Have you heard of Shōgayaki? 🇯🇵

When we think of Japanese food, sushi, ramen, katsu curry or gyoza might come to mind first.

But there are so many simple dishes that we regularly cook at home in Japan, and Shōgayaki is definitely one of them.

Shōgayaki means ginger fried, and it’s a simple pork dish cooked with a tasty soy and ginger based sauce. It’s quick to make, full of flavour and perfect with a bowl of rice.

This is the kind of everyday Japanese home cooking that I love sharing.

Shōgayaki is a very popular everyday dish in Japan. It's simple, full of flavour and a perfect example of the kind of food Japanese families enjoy at home.

Inside my online cooking community Kizuna Kitchen,we had our first guest expert, the amazing miso sommelier,Naoko Koji works to come and talk.
We absolutely loved it 😍
