What's better than silver... yes, that's right, GOLD!

Since being recognised with a Bronze Award in Medway Council's Healthy Workplace programme last year, we've consistently been working to improve our services and today we're proud to say that we've done just that.

But instead of simply aiming for the next level up, we're thrilled to say that we've skipped Silver and have now secured our GOLD Workplace Wellbeing Award!

Congratulations to all those involved.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁:

If you're not familiar with the Healthy Workplace scheme, then its aim is to help businesses (of all sizes) become healthier places to work. And this is something that is hugely important to Anchor...

We believe everyone should have the right to be healthy and work within a safe environment. After all, it's only with great staff, that we as an agency can deliver a first class service to our foster families.

Yet achieving this ambition is no easy undertaking...

To secure each progressive level, we have to pledge and fulfil a certain number of work wellbeing pledges. We also have to adhere to some tough guidelines regarding health and safety policies, risk assessments, staff health and safety training records, to name but a few. It's hard work but it's worth it, and we are so proud to have been recognised in this way.

So, if you want to work at a company where the health of its staff is at the centre of its culture - why not check out our current vacancies. Click the link in our bio for more details.

Because in the last year, we’ve seen a stark rise in the demand for foster homes capable of supporting families with special requirements such as emergency fostering, joint placements for parents and children or care for children with disabilities or complex needs.

Our event in Milton Keynes last week aimed to not just celebrate our amazing foster parents, but also raise awareness to our increasing need for parent and child foster placements. Read the link below to find out more.
