We’re delighted to announce our new FREE Inclusive Play Sessions hosted at Little Acres Day Nursery & Pre-School.

Led by our Inclusion, Diversity & SEN Specialist, who has 20 years of experience, these welcoming sessions offer children a safe and supportive space to enjoy sensory and tactile play, explore the seven sensory systems and have fun together.

- Wednesdays from the week of 14 September
- 10:00–11:00am
- For children aged 3–5 years
- Free to attend, booking is essential

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families who joined us for our Summer Stay & Play sessions! 🌼💛

The children and their families had a fantastic time exploring a variety of fun, engaging activities that were carefully planned around each child’s individual interests and stage of development. From creative play to sensory experiences and outdoor exploration, it was wonderful to see everyone learning, playing and making special memories together.

Positive family engagement is at the heart of everything we do, and seeing our nursery community come together in this way is exactly what we strive for. Working in partnership with our families helps us provide the very best outcomes for every child, supporting their confidence, wellbeing and development both at nursery and at home.

💛 Charity Bake Sale Success! 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our charity bake sale! 🧁✨

As a nursery, we were proud to raise money and awareness for two incredible charities that are especially close to our hearts: Shine, supporting people with spina bifida, and Step and Learn, supporting children with cerebral palsy. These charities mean so much to us as we have children within our nursery community who are supported by their amazing work.

Thanks to the generosity of our families, staff and visitors, we raised an amazing £120! 🎉 Every penny will help support these fantastic charities and the vital work they do.

Thank you for helping us make a difference while teaching our children the importance of kindness, inclusion and supporting others. Together, we can achieve wonderful things. 💙💚

🦷✨ Healthy smiles start early! ✨🦷

This week our preschool children have been exploring the importance of looking after their teeth through fun, hands-on activities, stories, songs and role play.

Developing positive oral health habits from an early age supports children’s overall health, wellbeing and confidence. These experiences link to the EYFS, promoting Personal, Social and Emotional Development as children learn to care for themselves, Communication and Language through meaningful discussions about healthy choices, and Understanding the World as they discover why keeping their teeth clean is so important.

As part of our commitment to supporting school readiness, we’re delighted that every preschool child is being gifted a FREE toothbrush and toothpaste to take home. We hope this encourages families to continue building healthy brushing routines together and helps children start school with confident, healthy smiles. 🪥😁
