A gentle reminder that from September 2026, all children in households receiving Universal Credit will be entitled to free school meals under the expanded eligibility criteria.

Please note that parents and carers will need to reapply each academic year, even if their child currently receives free school meals. Once approved, entitlement will be awarded for the full academic year, regardless of any later changes in circumstances.

Yesterday we fundraised for our student chosen charity, the RNLI, raising just under £500 in our 'Wear It Blue' Tag Day.

Dolomites - coach now expected back at Holcombe at 9:30am

Florence - Coach has departed Heathrow and should be back at Victory around 1:45am

Rome - Coach has departed Heathrow and should be back at Victory around 12:30am

UPDATE 4

Rome - Flight delay. Arrival to Victory now likely to be 12:00am

Cologne - coach just leaving Dover, should be at Victory at 7:20pm

Florence - flight delay now reduced to 1.5 hours. This should put arrival to Victory to 12:30am.

UPDATE 3

Florence - flight is delayed by 2 hours. All other things being equal, this will mean the coach should return to Victory at 1:00am. We will continue to update this post during the night.

UPDATE 2

Iceland - we have just heard that return to Holcombe is now delayed until 5:45.

Paris - just arrived in Folkestone, so expected back at Holcombe 4:45 traffic permitting (the message from staff on leaving Calais was blocked by the English Channel!)

Paris - delayed at crossing, likely to be late back to Holcombe. Your child will update you with more information, we will update here as we hear more.
Cologne - earlier crossing not available, likely to be back to Victory Academy at 7pm as planned.

Our students have had an amazing time on the last days of their Culture Week trips. All students are now making their way back to us and should return at the following times:

Paris – Return to Holcombe at 4pm
Iceland – Return to Holcombe at 4:30pm
Florence – Return to Victory Academy at 11pm
Rome – Return to Victory Academy at 11:30pm
Dolomites – Return to Holcombe at 7:30am Saturday

Cologne have made amazing time and are trying to secure an earlier ferry. They are very likely to be back prior to 7pm, their original return time. If their return time is significantly prior to this, they will return to Holcombe, rather than Victory. We will update here as we hear more.

Please stay in contact with your children who will provide updates on any changes as their trip leads instruct them. We will also update here if there are further changes to return times.
