๐ป Sunflowers ๐ป
Back in February we planted some sunflower seeds. Once the seeds had established, we sent the sunflowers home. Weโve had a couple of updates on our seedlings and look how much theyโve grown!

Today we visited Historic Dockyard Chatham with our friends at Laura's Treasures Childminding. There were VE Day celebrations and the children saw veterans, soldiers, the Mayor and a Town Crier ๐ not to mention playing in the park, the soft play and looking at the boats โต๏ธ
The town crier came to see us and showed us his uniform and rang his bell. The children all thought he looked like a pirate.
Weโve been practicing our โhear yeโ all the way home! ๐ฃ

we couldnโt miss this learning opportunity! Watching the cement lorry for the new house being built.
We spoke about the lorry spinning and mixing, we watched the digger move around with a flashing orange light, we waved to the builders and waved goodbye when the cement lorry left ๐

๐ฉโ๐ฌ ๐จโ๐ฌ Float or Sink ๐ฉโ๐ฌ๐จโ๐ฌ
Today we experimented with things that might float or sink. We collected lots of different bits and we spoke about whether we thought they might float or sink. We then ticked it on the list โ
The children had mixed guesses but were so pleased when they were right!

๐๐Our ride on the bus ๐๐
Earlier this month, along with Laura's Treasures Childminding we took a ride on the bus to the library. The children spoke to the driver and we found our seats. They loved looking out of the window and when the wipers started, they started to sing the Wheels on The Bus!
We had a great time looking at some books, reading together and also on our own. Finishing the morning off feeding the ducks and then taking the bus back home.
