This week, we've fully embraced the spirit of the World Cup Tournament with hands on fun and delicious tastes from around the globe!
We got creative making bright, colourful flags and designing our very own football shirts - each one unique and full of team pride. Then came the best part: exploring food from different corners of the world.
We started with a classic hearty English breakfast, followed by a lighter continental spread. Next, we enjoyed the rich comforting flavours of Polish cuisine, and today we're tucking into Mexican chilli - a true feast for the senses!
Every activity has brought us closer, celebrating not just the beautiful game, but the cultures and communities that make football such a wonderful global event.

We have had a ROARSOME week!
We have been diving into the fascinating world of dinosaurs, following the children's natural curiosity and wonder about these amazing creatures from the past.
Our learning has been hands on and creative:
ā— making dinosaurs from clay
ā—painting dinosaurs
ā— fossil hunting
ā— examining real and replica fossils
Through these activities we've explored what dinosaurs looked like, how they lived and how we learn about them today.
The children have asked brilliant questions, shared their ideas, and shown great imagination and enthusiasm along the way.

This week we learnt about our senses. The children used their senses to taste and smell different foods, we spoke about the different way objects feel, listened to sounds matching them to the correct objects.
The week ended with fun in the sun ā˜€
Enjoy your half term break

This week at Crestway was all about Prepare, cook and eat a story. Each day a different story was shared and our children were then given the opportunity to prepare different foods for eating. We have made ginger bread men, made sandwiches for a Tiger who came for tea, tried different fruits, from Handas basket and what the caterpillar ate, also porridge 🄣 for breakfast.

Following our Ofsted inspection in February I'm thrilled to share that we have been judged Strong in all areas. I am just delighted that the inspector was able to see all the amazing learning opportunities and activities we provide for our children, both inside and outside.

There is so much for us to be proud of in the report and to share with you, just some quotes

ā€œStaff are remarkably thoughtful, kind and caring, providing a safe environment for all childrenā€

ā€œAll children leave the setting with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to help them succeed in the futureā€

ā€œAll children, including children with special educational needs (SEND), thrive at this inspiring, nurturing and inclusive settingā€
