💜 A Moment of Pride for Phoenix Primary School 💜

We are incredibly proud to share that Phoenix Primary School has been awarded EBSA Horizons Whole School Accredited Champion Status.

This recognition means so much because it reflects something we believe deeply: behind every attendance challenge is a child who needs understanding, support and hope. Every day, our staff work tirelessly alongside families to help children feel safe, valued and confident in coming to school.

This achievement belongs to our whole school community, but most of all to the children whose courage and resilience inspire us every day. Watching children overcome barriers, rebuild their confidence and find happiness in school again is the greatest reward of all.

Thank you to Dr Jerricah Holder and the EBSA Horizons team for this recognition, and thank you to our staff, families and partner agencies for walking this journey with us.

❤️ Most importantly, thank you to our children and families. You are the reason we do what we do.

Last week, our Diamond Classes experienced an exciting 🚲 balance bike lesson during sports week! The students showed incredible focus and determination as they worked on their balance and coordination skills. It was wonderful to see them challenge themselves, support one another, and celebrate each small victory. Whether they were just starting out or perfecting their technique, every student brought enthusiasm and courage to the lesson. What a fantastic way to build confidence and have fun moving our bodies! 🌟

🍎🍓🥝 Garnet have been busy becoming healthy food designers! 🥗✨
Our pupils designed their own fruit salads, carefully wrote clear step-by-step instructions, and then brought their ideas to life. Through this hands-on learning, they developed creativity, communication, independence, and teamwork while making healthy choices.
At the heart of our values-based education is empowering children to think, create, and learn with confidence. We are so proud of the care, resilience, and enthusiasm they showed throughout the activity. Well done, Garnet! 🌟

🎨 Our Year 3 artists stepped into Monet’s world during Arts Week, learning how patience, observation, and kindness shape beautiful work. Inspired by his love of nature, they created pieces that reflect not just colour and light, but the values we grow together every day. 🖼️ 👩‍🎨

🎉 What a fantastic afternoon celebrating 120 years of Phoenix Primary School! 🎉

On Friday, we were proud to welcome past, present and future pupils, families, staff, governors and members of our wider community to mark this incredible milestone in our school's history.

It was a wonderful celebration bringing generations together to share memories, reconnect with old friends and celebrate the community that has shaped Phoenix Primary School for the last 120 years.

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers, staff and supporters whose hard work, generosity and dedication helped make the event such a success. We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and shared in this special occasion.

Here's to 120 years of learning, growth and community—and to many more years of inspiring futures together. 💜🧡

🏺 Ancient Greece came to life for Year 3 Classes! 🇬🇷
As part of our Ancient Greek history topic, our learners explored the beautiful art of pottery, creating their own unique pieces inspired by the designs and traditions of this fascinating civilisation.
This hands-on workshop encouraged creativity while helping children make meaningful connections with history. Along the way, they demonstrated our core values by showing respect for each other's ideas, perseverance as they developed new skills, responsibility in caring for their materials, and kindness through encouraging and celebrating one another's creations.
Learning is at its best when curiosity, creativity and character come together. We are so proud of everything our learners achieved! 💙🏺✨
