​We are passionate about sustainability, which is why we’ve waved goodbye to single-use plastic bags! 🎒👋
​No more sending wet clothes home in plastic. We’ve invested in eco-friendly, reusable wet bags for all our children—just one of the many ways we are upping our game to protect the planet. 🌍💚
​We believe in teaching children about the environment through real, everyday actions.

🥗 Something NEW is tossing things up at lunchtime!

​Since the start of the spring term, we’ve been thrilled to introduce our brand-new Salad Bar for the children!
​We want to clarify that this isn't a replacement for their usual packed lunches from home. Instead, think of it as a healthy enchantment ✨—a little something extra to go alongside their meal.

​It’s been wonderful seeing the kids explore new colors and flavors. From crunchy cucumbers to sweet peppers, we're helping them build healthy habits, one bowl at a time! 🥕🍅

Thank you so much to Medway Council for these amazing free resources, and for Medway Early Years Ltd for delivering fantastic training on making the most out of them. We can't wait to see the little giggles children play with them 🥰

🐸 Little Giggles Tadpole Update!

A huge thank you to one of our wonderful parents for gifting us some frog spawn!

It has quickly become the highlight of our mornings; the children rush in every day to see how much they've grown. Our tadpoles are getting so big!

* Gentle Care:*Teaches the children how to respect and care for living creatures.

It’s been a joy to watch the children’s faces light up with wonder every single morning. Stay tuned for more "hoppy" updates!

We spent an amazing day at the Childcare Expo in London last week, soaking up all the "Early Years" magic! There’s nothing quite like mixing with fellow educators to get the creative juices flowing. 💡
​The best part? Bringing back a suitcase full of new resources! Seeing the children’s faces light up as they discovered these new ways to play and learn this week has been the absolute highlight of our month.

We have a new bear about little giggles 🧸.
A few weeks ago some of the Little Giggles children were set a special challenge: to go to Build-A-Bear and create a bear full of love and giggles that would go home with a special Little Giggles child each week. 🌟 The Little Giggles children took on this task with so much enthusiasm, as they always do.

We headed to Build-A-Bear and looked at all the bears, testing out the cuddles and love they gave, and eventually found the perfect one. We all had the task of filling it with love. This bear has extra love to go around for all the Little Giggles children; we made him nice and strong, and he gives the best cuddles.

We then had to create his birth certificate and the children named him Tiggle Giggles 🥰.

He will be going home each week with the "star of the week" who will have a little diary to show all the fun things he has done with them over the weekend. We cannot wait to hear what he gets up to.

Tonight was a momentous occasion for Little Giggles Academy. Out of 250 early years settings, we were one of only six to receive the newly introduced Platinum Award, and notably, the first and sole childminder setting to achieve this distinction. The award ceremony provided an opportunity to learn about the remarkable journeys of various organizations and hear from inspiring speakers.

We absolutely love a spooktacular Halloween party at Little Giggles, and we certainly had one to remember today! 🧡🖤

​A huge shout-out to everyone, including our amazing staff, for the incredible costumes! Seeing all the little ghosts, goblins, and superheroes made the day extra special.

​We were bursting with giggles during our party games! The children loved the challenge of:
​🎯 Toss the Ring onto the Witches' Hat
​🎃 Toss the Pumpkin into our spooky ghosts
​🕷️ And, of course, getting wonderfully messy with some sensory fun, including searching for hidden spiders!

​What a brilliant and festive way to end the week. We hope all our Little Giggles families have a safe and wonderful Halloween weekend!

A day keeping up with my CPD and networking with other wonderful settings Childminding UK

Our Little Giggles Children were true artists at Forest School last week! We had so much fun creating nature portraits using all the wonderful treasures we found around us.
Little hands collected leaves, twigs, petals, and more, arranging them into the most charming and imaginative faces. This beautiful activity covered key Areas of Learning including:
* Understanding the World (exploring nature)
* Expressive Arts & Design (creativity and making)
* Physical Development (fine motor skills)
* Communication & Language: (Talking about their creations and the items they)
* Personal, Social and Emotional Development:( Building confidence through independent creation, developing concentration and perseverance, and expressing themselves creatively. found.)

Each unique portrait was a little piece of natural magic!
