๐ซ๐ท Today we celebrate Bastille Day! ๐ซ๐ท
Today we have been learning about Bastille Day, France's national day, which commemorates the storming of the Bastille on 14th July 1789 and marks the beginning of the French Revolution.
Our children have enjoyed discovering more about French history, culture and traditions, helping them develop their understanding of the wider world. It has been a wonderful opportunity to celebrate another country's national day through fun and engaging learning.

Today, Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic visit from Su at 'You Can Too Tech', who delivered an exciting Chatterbox Coding Workshop. The children had a wonderful time using Micro:bits to code their chatterboxes, programming them to move their mouths and respond to different commands. They demonstrated excellent coding skills, enthusiasm and perseverance throughout the session. As they worked so successfully, they also had the opportunity to explore the Micro:bit's LED lights, experimenting with different patterns and designs. It was a highly engaging and enjoyable workshop that inspired lots of creativity and problem-solving.
Well done, Year 5! ๐
